How February Became The Shortest Month
How did February get only 28 days while the other months were receiving 30 or 31 days each?
We use the modern calendar every day, but very few people can accurately answer that question.
Our system of keeping track of time has come a long way. In fact, the current calendar system is not that modern. It goes back to 1582, during the reign of Pope Gregory VIII.
Even so, the Pope only did very minor adjustments to what was already been used for hundreds of years.
