This channel is where I show off my hunter soloing skill.
I started soloing during Wrath of the Lich King, when I was 15. I started with BC heroics, then Vanilla raids. I quickly stopped following the footsteps of previous soloists and pushed myself - getting a fair number of solo worldfirsts (all classes) as well as hunter worldfirsts.

Hunter solo - Durendil vs Throne of Thunder Heroic (Remix)
In my list of "raids I'd like to truly solo again", throne was part of the top. And it was so fun !
I really hope they remix other expansions.
I did two runs and took the best videos. Done with 220k threads.
General rules : stack haste and versatility (max is 126%, 106% if using windreaver).
Always use Wildfire, Mark of Arrogance, and Hailstorm.
Jin'rok : simple. Only moment he hits hard is when you have tank stacks.
Horridon : simple.
Council of elders : frost king Malakk will stun you for 10 seconds. Use a defensive or Dark Pact and focus him first. Mar'li is the other dangerous one when empowered, if it happens make sure the spirit doesn't hit you.
Tortos : simple.
Megaera : simple.
Ji'kun : simple, ignore adds.
00:00 Durumu the Forgotten
Dps objective is killing him before the second color spectrum : blue add can pop under the boss at that time, causing an instant wipe.
If you can afford the dps loss, use the Precipice of madness metagem.
For the first color spectrum, check where the blue add spawns. If it spawns on a red add, you'll need an immunity or shield (precipice). If not, go the the add nearest to the blue one and use the shield anyways - beams are a bit buggy on spawn, they might hit the blue add.
During the ice walls, there are serious targeting issues. Go under the boss and try to hit one of the 3 inner walls, or those next to them. Once you have killed one wall, find a position where you are in LoS of the second then third. Or just kill boss if you have enough dps.
Finally, do not dispel the debuff - it makes you avoid the life drain/stun.
Primordius : easy. You can ignore the add, it doesn't one-shot you.
01:49 : Dark Animus
Use explosive barrage here.
The first 30 seconds are simple : kill adds while running around to avoid them stacking. The execution isn't that easy though.
I used precipice of madness to buy time. But you can use other metagems for damage.
Also, immunities at the end will allow wildfire, barrage and hailstorm to finish off the adds.
In phase 2, if you are far away from the boss, you won't take unhealable damage. Just run.
03:46 Iron Con
I took the 2 tinkers that gave me shields (frost and fire), and Slay.
Use dark pact when you are stunned and shields are gone.
Phase 1 you want to survive 2 stuns, there usually isn't a third.
Phase 2 you should have only 1 stun before the storm phase. Sometimes there is a second, which can cause a wipe.
Phase 3 get your cooldowns back for phase 4.
Phase 4 kill dogs quickly before you're stunned a second time.
I did a second try facetanking the boss, it is possible (requires precipice of madness).
06:19 Lei Shen
He's actually easy. You want to use victory fire + searing light and AoE adds.
Too many adds will kill you though with melees.
So do not overcharge the bouncing bolt conduit and it will be fine.
Also, do not get bumped off the platform. In pahse 2 he has a fusion slash that bumps.
08:47 : Ra-den
Use the two shield tinkers (frost and fire).
Also use precipice of madness if you can't avoid the tank strike. I used sprint for kiting.
Also Ankh. Grounding could also work but you would need to time the tank strike with it.
In vita phase, he one-shots you.
In anima phase, he casts a DoT that deals 500% of your health and ignores damage reductions.
First kite the first orbs. have him hit the via one first, but at around 30 seconds - kite more and he will go into vita phase.
Then kite the next orbs. When the boss is near 100 energy, have him hit the anima or and run.
Kite as much as you can. Care, when he is going to spawn the next orbs, get him near the middle so the wrong orb doesn't spawn under him.
If he gets his tank strike off, use precipice of madness. And use your CDs (healing, max health, barriers...) when it breaks. I also had the Ankh. Getting lucky with a shield can also help on a tick.
You need to get him to 40% before the next strike.
I really hope they remix other expansions.

He doesn't seem to have a berserk timer. Or at least it's extremely long. I'm missing about 20% dps for Igira though, so I guess I'll continue soloing amidrassil in TWW. In phase 1, the small adds deal a massive amount of damage with their DoT. I used defensives if I got the debuff, and turtle on the second set of adds. In phase 2, boss deals increasing damage, so I had to use defensives too.

Bosses are starting to get hard, that one was close. First boss, I couldn't FD or he despawned. So I had to use all CDs and misdirect on my second pet first, in order to kill him before he melee'd me (which puts a permanent DoT). This boss is harder solo than in group. But with the right strat it's doable. Just put on your running shoes. In phase 1, you have to grab wallclimbers and kill casters. Done with 520 ilvl. I was overgeared for this one, the two tank trinkets carried. In phase 1, I destacked when necessary, while making sure pet didn't die. In phase 2, you just have to kill the boss before stacks get too high.

Done with 515 ilvl. I had no other choice then going marksmanship here. I did my best. I used pet to tank the boss, and killed trash far away from the boss, using leech to keep myself alive, then healing my pet. I used CDs on the fire add, he felt harder. Also, I made sure to kite until adds lost their debuff.

Done with 515 ilvl. His easiest phase is the earth one, and the hardest the frost phase. As such, my plan was doing all the first P1 in the earth phase, using all defensives, then dividing the second P1 between fire and lightning, and finally finish in frost if boss wasn't dead yet. The main issue is the tank strikes. You can FD half of them, and turtle another per phase (the debuff won't tick)...

Battlefield is the absolutely worst kind of boss for me - barring ones with "unsoloable" mechanics. I could do this dungeon in 9, but I'm going to stop here. Gear : double defensive trinket. Not a 10 due to a certain Soulbound Goliath. He could be done with some outranging spec in higher key levels, but it requires a lot of RNG on the fires that spaw, so I gave up. I went for a full burst strat where I had to kill him before the 4th thorns. I yolo'd the rest of the dungeon. Having only 1 defensive trinket didn't help, but I had a lot of time.

This boss was a lot harder than she looks due to some RNG on Feign Death sometimes not working. Which is problematic when your pet dies all the time. And, in order to meet the dps requirements, I had to use full dps trinkets. So survival was extremely tight - if I took one tank ability, I was dead. My most common mistake was casting revive pet during a beam - and losing health I couldn't afford...

Wait...did I just watch a DPS solo a God Deam endboss from...2 patches ago? Deam thats REALLY impressive. I remember all the way back in BFA I soloed first 2 Uldir bosses out of boredom...but it was "Lol max mastery fire is so broken boss just melts, and lucid dream leech outheals everything" and you have proper bossfight. I wonder how many pulls it took to pull off?

@@alexanderliebertz4172 In my opinion there's things to admire in any solo, not every class has the same skills and tallents, so you have to manage what you can to do it. For example, as a Blood DK I don't have a pet to tank the boss, to tank the adds and also have much less damage to do it so... yeah, I guess you can say it's less impressive, but if you take a look into it, it's hard for both. Also, never made his accomplishment mean less by commenting that, only commented cause I saw a fellow that actually enjoys soloing stuff too.
@@alexanderliebertz4172 Soloing isn't a contest, the point is to see how different classes solo different bosses - how they figure out a strat then execute it.

hey are u aware of the new talents for hunter? how they affect the capabilities to solo?
Not much seems to change from the pet's perspective. Maybe a little more sustain for the hunter, but that could be offset by more heavy-damage fights. I'd need to play it to see, it seems to be "small buffs" for the moment but nothing consequential.

What I want to know is how many attempts/how long did you spend before pulling this off. Incredible achievement regardless.
Sarkareth around 2 and a half raid nights - one to figure out how to survive the longest, then one to maximise DPS, then half to actually pull it off. Razageth took about two sessions for the strat, but the execution part was actually easier. In short, I had around 6 wipes at 1% on Sarkareth, but on Razageth I killed her once I got to phase 3 alive.
@@DurendilLeHunt I may have to get back into doing this sort of stuff - I used to do this back in the Vanilla days. My favourite memory was main tanking all of Molten Core for a guild run on my T2 Hunter - was hilarious. Thanks for a straight answer by the way, much appreciated <3
Dude i don't fuckin understand this bug or what but how could you be doing 87k DPS and surviving that much? my pala is 471 and doing 120k but nowhere near killing it. Only lasting 2 minutes. Volatile ejection deals too much and having no heals means you're fucked, even with Fyrakk heart like, that has 1:30min CD, you die before that. Sure pet tanks so overwhelm doesn't kill you but Volatile surely will, even if you turtle it, you still gain the stack and that is with you having less than 400k i have 800k and still die wtf And not bc I suck, the 2min SimCraft says 129,894 is my max DPS And that is without accounting for the loss when casting shield+divine shield for protection needed to survive 2minutes I'd need 217 seconds to kill it with optimal DPS, sure Ashen Hollow reduces that but it won't ever be over 3 minutes when Volatile kills me that fast
Hm... 1. Question.... It was LFR/normal/HC oder mytic? 2. Question It was awaken week? Because... Actuly we have the biggest item level increase in history from wow. Normaly with every season the overall item level get 20 to 25 level higher. Like season 1 to season 2. Season 1 max item level was 424-425. Season 2 447-449. But of you see the last 2 seasons it was way more. Season 2 the max item level for a char was 447-449. Season 3 was 489/491 Season 4, because you can buy every rare raid trinket/ring/neck... It is 533-537. So if it was normal in a non awaken week and you have 520/525 overall it level it doesnt surprise me. So i think after my evoker have a good item level i gear my Hunter and i try the same.
It was normal, non awakened. Also, Sarkareth himself isn't too hard. He was easier than Razageth, and she was from a previous tier.

Well as you can see, as far as dps goes it was very tight, even on previous bosses. And on the other bosses I needed one or two tank trinkets to survive.

Clicking means nothing if you have aim. I used to be a clicker and my movement was much better as you never use your fingers for anything other than wasd. Wow players just normally have trash aim and that's why they look down on clickers because clickers are usually slow or click another ability and mess up. If you see a competent clicker odds are he's better than you at every game you've ever played
If a backpedaling, clicking BM hunter can do it,- you can do it too!

@@alexanderliebertz4172 Not saying you CAN'T get good while clicking, just saying it's a handicap - it's an unneccessary loss of efficiency. You can become a great painter while only painting with your feet - but why would you when you can use your hands? ;)

OK...The boss stays all the way back when I kill the two mages casting Catastrophic tides...how am I supposed to interrupt if he is out of range? I see other videos the boss spawn to the front but never does it for me. As a melee I cant find a way to interrupt the Catastrophic tides.
That's not normal, unless the boss is already at 100 energy when you kill the second mage. In that cas the mages don't die fast enough or you didn't interrupt the first mage on pull.
@@DurendilLeHunt I know, I almost have enough time to swim to the boss to interrupt. Both mages are interrupted, I kill the mages much faster than some of the videos. I have this issue on my DK.

I've never done this boss back in the day, and i don't know any detailed tactics about it. My ilvl is 472. I'm killing both mages and then i have enough time to go back and interrupt the first catastrophic tides. Then i fight the boss for a bit, killing the adds if they come. But after a while he's getting at 100 energy and starts casting tides again, which can't be interrupted of course.. And this is where i die. Do you have any idea what am i doing wrong? In every video i've watched with people soloing this, he never casts tides for a second time.
You have to stop the adds from casting on the boss. They are spawned by a debuff, get away from the boss before it expires.
Who cares if he clicks? I bet the others down here couldn't solo this content. Awesome video, dude!

Unfortunately the Kel'Thuzad trick did not work with shaman elementals or warlock demons. They instantly die when you enter the phylactery.
Some classes have it easier than other. Have you tried the Necrolord Oozeling ?

Easy probably years of experience lol there are clickers in the top world guilds that win world firsts.

As I said in the description, I used the beacon to the beyond to deal a lot of damage in a single hit.

What addon are you using to track Lady Ashvane's cast's?
DBM or Bigwigs
For Kael'thas on normal and LFR difficulty: you will need the draconic cauterizing magma. Collect 3 of the orbs to then channel the draconic cauterizing magma on him. Keep bandaging the containers that the trash mobs drop (these don't exist on LFR) and you will be fine. Without the draconic cauterizing magma item though it's impossible because the rage-timer will hit. You can no longer bandage him.
Can you use the totem's healing to soloed Mythic Kael'thas?
Maybe, but here I am on tournament realms - I haven't looted it on live.

Cant wrap my head around this boss, even if we are 2 players, when Bwonsandi spawn he mind controlls us both and fight gets reset. Even if 1 is out of circle and another is out , tired both in and both out still resetys boss.
Are you talking about the totem ? It works weird in solo, not sure what it does in 2 man.
what trinkets are you using here for soloing? My buddy and I really enjoy 2 or occasionally 3 manning as far as we can go and he plays hunter
On this one in particular the Voodoo Totem and the Jewelcrafting crit one. However, this was a special case, since I was geared 100% towards healing chromie. On "normal" soloing, I use the Leaf of the Ancient protectors and the Fyrakk tank trinket. The "good" tank trinkets change each patch, but you want to aim for the highest HPS possible, while taking into account the duration of the absorb (if absorb) and the CD of the trinket.
