    You should never run "any" electrical device inside the RV "even if you have hardly any battery power". Doing so will damage and eventually destroy the lead-acid batteries. Simply using them below 50% capacity will do this as well. Using a proper battery monitor is vital to their longevity.

    Leaving the rack out while using the convection oven will not break the glass.

    Just FYI - if your house batteries are low, (the one under the hood is the chassis battery and is not connected to this system) a 2-way fridge like this one will not cool at all, (unless you connect to shore power or run the genset) because the electronic display and igniter are 12vdc powered.

    Note: If you run both LP and Elec tank heaters, the water will heat up much faster. This can also decrease the time required between showers to bring the water up to the desired temp. That being said, if you're not on city water, you should never leave the water heater on all the time because if you run low on water you can actually burn up and destroy the hot water tank.

    According to the manual that comes with pretty much every RV, the water pump runs off the batteries (12vdc) and should never be "left on all the time". You might suggest it is "on-demand" so it only runs when you turn on a faucet or shower, however since RVs are not exactly designed by NASA or assembled by engineers the plumbing can lose pressure due to a variety of circumstances such as changes in ambient temperature or moving to a different elevation and therefore the pump will cycle on and off even when you're not using it. This can lead to depleted and damaged batteries.

    Just FYI - A lot of folks upgrade their batteries to lithium which yields much more capacity along with other substantial gains and will allow you to run everything in the RV even if you're not on shore power or using the generator. I did this myself in our last RV. We could run the air conditioning, the microwave, you name it, just off the inverter and batteries.

    @UltimateAnarchy Před 5 měsíci

    Just FYI - If you install a "soft-start capacitor" on the roof air, you can run both it and the microwave simultaneously using the generator. Those two devices combined only pull a max of about 3kw and the genset you have puts out around 4kw. (sorry for all the posts, but I'm bored)

    I'm curious if this video was prompted by the damage to the back of the driver's seat? : )

    A water "filter" is also highly desirable on the drinking water hose. This can be installed at either end.

    Sorry, but the first part of this video is wrong. I'm only correcting it so anyone else seeing this doesn't think that the black tank flush is "only for instances when the black tank isn't draining". Most RV manufacturers recommend using the black tank flush often, in some cases every time you dump the tanks. We have been full-time RVers since 2017 and flush it about once a week. Failing to use this flush system will result in an expensive visit from the septic tech who has to professionally clean the tank, which costs about $300.

    Hello, I contacted you a few weeks ago through your ad but received no replies. A few questions... Are you the original owner? Is it stored inside or in the driveway as the video suggests? How is the paint and clearcoat? Since this unit came out 7 years ago I'm curious how much rust is underneath since you are in Utah. Are you a smoker? Did pets travel with you? Have you had a quote on how much to replace the overhead glass? I noticed the wood damage in the bedroom. Has anyone removed the damaged panels to check for damage to the water tanks which are underneath them? When was the last time the generator was serviced? Do you have all printed records for oil changes and other maintenance? What is the date code on the tires? It will say 0417 or something similar. Incidentally, I noticed your water pump is in the "on" position. You should leave that off until you need it as it runs on 12vdc and will drain the battery if left on. Also, the inverter does not energize the "plugs" you mentioned at all times, only when you are not connected to shore power or using the genset. The inverter "inverts" DC power from the batteries into AC power which can energize the receptacles but at the expense of battery storage. Using the inverter when the batteries are low can damage them, permanently. When connected to shore power or when running the generator, the "converter", a separate device, energizes the 120v plugs and powers the roof air. Please email me at UltimateAnarchy@myYahoo.com

    New guy question. Are you bypassing your WH to sanitize or not? It is a bit confusing when you say “turn off the bypass” so bleach water doesn’t enter the WH. Wouldn’t that mean you’d want to bypass the WH?
