That's why you use a winch
A small brain will tell you to put a tyre in the Rope between two ropes or two chains and drive away this will act like an elastic band and pull the vehicle that is behind out out but do not stop with the pulling vehicle because the time will take the Jolt then using it for 30 years

Get a kinetic rope instead of a static strap, once you pull the other person it acts like a rubber band and flings them out of trouble 👍🏻

@Austin T. I'm pretty sure a strap under that kind of tension will still rip you apart if it goes.
@Austin T. You do have shackles and other hardware that can fly off and from videos of the straps going, I don't think it's quite as simple as them falling straight to the ground. That energy has to go somewhere. Also note there are no dampers on the line.

Jammer genoeg is de video veel te kort en te vroeg gemaakt(beter moment was geweest zaterdag a h eind vd middag) om een goede indruk te krijgen v d grote verscheidenheid aan voertuigen die er waren. Van Zetros,Saurer,Steyer tot KAT, van Unimog 2010 tot 405(UGN) en van Pinzgauer tot G met portaalassen. Werkelijk een heel mooi stel offroad voertuigen bij elkaar. Het was zeker de moeite waard dat we dit treffen bezocht hebben zeker in combinatie met de ''Static Show'' van de voertuigen bij ''Wings&Wheels. Ik heb ook nog een mooie video op m'n Handy van Zaterdagmiddag: Willibaut en Maarten in aktie.Ik stel deze graag ter beschikking !

Hook the strap way short, when you pull, puts weight on back of your truck, lifts front of stuck vehicle
1/2 way through and thinking they should just have used two straps, to the tow vehicle was on flat, hard ground... 3/4 of the way through, thinking the idiot could be looking at structural damage* to the Disco', then very lucky he didn't bury himself in turn. *Was he thinking it was a snatch strap, FFS?

Just because its a Mog doesnt make it invincible. That recovery had fuckall to do with power and everything to do with traction. No matter what it it if it aint got traction it aint worth shit. Nice Mog all the same.
AIC SKS when you spun your tyres it was probably clearing the tread of mud. In this situation every revolution of those tyres dug the mog 6 inches deeper.

Not sure I really understood this recovery. Did no one have a winch or maxtrax or dynamic line? Using a static line to jerk-pull like this is likely to break something! Glad that Rover got recovered, tho. Nice.
You know nothing of "snatch ropes". And the Rover has a winch. It was the "snatch" that worked.

@@stpbasss3773 there was nothing to hook the cable to..no trees no pull pal and all the other trucks there look to be the same size or smaller plus the guys just wanted to show off the mog.. the sound of it was worth the extra effort lol
