You need do the same test with a weighted hook. Almost all of them will shimmy. They did on your lifts.

Do you use snap swivel for switching lure? If so, what size? I notice mine will cause the lure to sink.

Hi Bobby! Question about the Fat Ika. I have that same hook, Owner Beast but I’m not sure if I should throw it (from shore, at Castaic) on 8lb Izorline and a medium spinning rod or 12lb Flouroclear on a Medium Baitcaster. Thoughts?

If it falls to the side, a small nail weight will make it fall flatter.

I had an interesting experience with stickbaits last weekend. A buddy and I fished all day from a rowboat on a weed flat. He threw wacky Yamamoto Senkos and Yum Dingers all day... He ended up catching 8 bass, ranging from a couple little dinks to a pretty solid 3.5 pounder. I threw a wacky rigged Stik-O from Bass Pro, in a very similar color to what my buddy had been throwing (green pumpkin, he had black flake, I had black flake with blue glitter)... I caught absolutely nothing, I only got one tiny nibble, and that might have been a bluegill. I had never thrown the Stik-O before, and logic tells me it was a situational thing where they just preferred the Senkos and Dingers that day, but I've already lost confidence in them. I will give them another shot eventually, because I still have a ton of them. Hopefully, that'll be a day the fish will eat a few.

This was a nicely informative and comprehensive video. Well done and give yourself a deserved pat on the back for conveying the necessaries with a no-bones-attached style. Considering the Really shite content from much larger and "popular" channels on CZcams, you easily outdone them. I'm always tweaking my soft bait drop-shot presentations for perch here in Ireland, with some devastating results on some, and always like to watch decent videos on such techniques and baits. Keep the good vids coming.

Falling to the side only matters if you are target fishing or bed fishing. Fishing a bare ordinary bank you might catch a fish that is in front or behind ur cast
