Great work! I hope you make the documentation as detailed as possible.
can you explain how you made the templates for this... so frontend implementation... this is just backend.
Thank you for an excellent series. It has helped me to see the light and transition to Blocks. I love Frost (well. my own fork)
Where can i find an updated guide on how to use login/register in headless wp lol.
Hi. When will the ability to update acf fields be added?
Wow, this is just what i have been looking for. I wanted an approach where I could design a Wordpress website with just the blocks and some css/html/js without using any third party tools. Thanks very much for this content
Couldn't get the Gutenberg Form to work with an error message appearing every time someone tried to fill it in so I just used the Elementor Pro to make the form.
Very helpful, thank you guys!
I have a website with four subdomains. I am rebuilding them and moving to a new hosting provider but designing them using Local. Can I have different themes on each subdirectory or should I use subdomain instead for that ability. Each site is connected but designed with a different look, using different themes. I am uncertain whether to pick subdirectory or subdomain. Which will allow me to use different themes with each site?
i thought graphql only work in pages router. but you are using App router. hows it?
Hi Damon, please can you tell me what block theme you are using? kind regards.
Hello Brian, it looks like Frost is not compatible with bbPress. Any comments about compatibility? Thanks!
No comments, specifically. Can you elaborate on what specifically is not compatible? -BG
The forums page (bbpress) is not displayed after creating a forum, if I visit the page. I see an empty html page. It gets displayed properly if I use genesis sample or other themes. Maybe I miss something?
Thank you, and it's without plugin, this is what I was looking for :-) !
Glad I could help! -BG
What questions do you have about headless WP in the App Router? Stoked and let us know!
Will Faustjs support the wordpress template hierarchy for app router?
Doesn't seem like Gutenberg Blocks / Acf Blocks are supported by the app router yet?
I would like to learn how to work with dynamic categories optional subcategories post in the url rewrite rules permalink structure
When it comes to styling different blocks, I like to open the 'Style Book', click on the block I want to change and it brings up the global styles for that specific block. Saves having to search for it! It also shows a preview of the changes before you save it.
Opening the 'Style Book' also helps to preview global changes like the ones you were making for the Frost theme. It's a handy tool for themes that don't come with a custom front page, such as your Powder theme 🙂
Good stuff, Amelia! -BG
Validations in blocks are awesome.
Is this Frost specific, or the same for all FSE themes ?
The Global Styles feature is available to any FSE theme. The opinionated styles (blue color palette, etc) you see were just because Frost was active. -BG
Truly good work!!!
Thanks! -BG
Nice improvements!
thanks I will try
A tutorial showing how to create the pages/posts for an auto-dealership as shown in this demo (0:45) using only ACF would be very helpful.
A workshop was done and the recording covers this: czcams.com/video/eE17hjOwG3s/video.html
@@WPEngineBuilders Thank you!
HI there. I love this tutorial, but I would like to see more of the backend and the coding as I am struggling to understand how it all works. thank you.
Ok, thanks
I got a little confused when you said "Recipe Advertisment" since I work in a company that is named like that.
I was just using that as an example-a food blog with an inline advertisement on a recipe post. -BG
Patterns are a game changer! Been using other CMS exactly because they allow you to create whole sections without a lot of fuss. I will give WP another look. Been a while I used this for one of my projects. Thanks for the update!
Totally agree! -BG
Really good tutorial, thank you!
Glad it was helpful! -BG
One of the first things I show clients, I tell them it's a map of the page. Indispensable.
Yep, it sure feels that way! -BG
Jeff, thank you so much for this video. The instructions provided worked perfectly in my app. Much ❤
Thank you so much for creating this feature. It is amazing.
Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you're enjoying it :)
❤ How to collapse and un-collapse everything?
It’s great, isn’t it? -BG
bro you have a great voice
Little late to this party, but I don't see the link to the repo anywhere.
Hi there - here's the repo! github.com/Fran-A-Dev/headless-faust101 I would also recommend you join us in the Discord community if you have any questions: discord.gg/headless-wordpress-836253505944813629 - Sam ✨ Community Manager
@@WPEngineBuilders Thank you so much Sam!
Agreed. A great organizational feature and the new ability to rename is very helpful. You don't have to be a developer to take advantage of the list view I wish the outline would include the vendor along with the component added to the outline since there are many duplicates in many people's component stack - several varieties of accordions, containers, etc so to trace it back to the source.
Totally agree! -BG
Tutorial de como subir a producción con git+Vercel
Just noting there is a current issue in Github where the form is not able to be edited within a Group block. I found that if you set up the form block first and then add it to a group block, the settings configured for the form settings stick and the form works fine.
Thanks, Amelia. Much appreciated! -BG
HI, can I somehow implement this with Elementor on frontend? Thanks.
Maybe at some point, we'll look to create content around Elementor, but nothing to share at the moment. Thanks for the feedback!
Where do i find the WPGraphQL content blocks extension?
Hi there - you can find that here: faustjs.org/tutorial/get-started-with-wp-graphql-content-blocks Also, if you're not already in our Headless WP Discord we would love to have you 💜 discord.gg/headless-wordpress-836253505944813629
@@WPEngineBuilders Thanks! Do you have to use faust to use that plugin?
@@lindsayaiello501 Hi there, great question. No, this plugin does not require Faust. Now, Faust makes it easier because the queries are set already. However, you can use any framework with this plugin since what it primarily does is give block data to a server-side registry so it shows up in GraphQL. Let us know if you have any other questions! - Sam ✨ Community Manager
I give up
the application immedaitely exists after trying npm run dev. No idea why
Hi there - I would recommend jumping into our Headless WordPress Discord Community - this would be a good place to ask questions and share your code for community support! discord.gg/headless-wordpress-836253505944813629 Hope to see you inside. - Sam ✨Community Manager

Thanks! -BG
Does ‘reset styles’ reset *all* styles to theme defaults?
Yes, it does. In the case of the video, I chose to do it since I hadn’t made any other changes and it was a quick way to demonstrate it. Had there been other customizations, I would have gone back to the actual setting where the font was applied and simply reset it there. -BG
Sounds great the series!!! Thanks 😊
You'’e so welcome -BG
hi, is there a way to get html and css working in the gutenberg editor for example i want to convert my old site into a gutenberg wordpress site. I know there is a way to go to inspect source and then insert the raw html css into the editor but for some reason i can not get it to be editable into gutenberg. Do you know how to solve this?
Great video, Thank you. forked and changed the identity (manually) as per your instructions here then had a play in localwp. I see on your website you have colour gradient variations, but I can't yet see how to activate one. New to the built in FSE, so stumbling in the dark. I do see you have other and newer videos on Frost, maybe one is a Frost FSE for dummies!! Thanks, i have subscribed because of this viideo.
Style variations can be set by having a /styles/ folder in a theme with corresponding .json files. Here's an example: github.com/wpengine/frost/tree/trunk/styles -BG
Thank you <3 However I am facing an issue with if I make any changes in JS files it reflects immediately but changes done in the WP ADMIN back-end don't reflect immediately I have to run **npm run dev ** every time to see the changes. Please help if I am missing anything.
I am sorry I missed this. Thank you Damon for the visual presentation - I understood this new thing better. It seems like Block Bindings API is still in early stage having a very few supported block atm. It surely has a lot of potentials in the future. For now, I stick with Sync Patterns and custom ACF Blocks.
I was expecting a UI to do this where you select any core block and bind data to it; you can already do this with Kadence Blocks, Generate Blocks, etc. Without a UI, this is not ready for primetime.
I'm getting this error when I try to install PS C:\xampp\htdocs extjs14-headlesswp-example> npm run install node:internal/modules/cjs/loader:1205 throw err; ^ Error: Cannot find module 'C:\Users ame\AppData\Roaming pm ode_modules pm\bin pm-cli.js' at Module._resolveFilename (node:internal/modules/cjs/loader:1202:15) at Module._load (node:internal/modules/cjs/loader:1027:27) at Function.executeUserEntryPoint [as runMain] (node:internal/modules/run_main:187:14) at node:internal/main/run_main_module:28:49 { code: 'MODULE_NOT_FOUND', requireStack: [] }

Can we get the links mentioned at the beginning and also the gist?
Sorry about that! I've added them under the description for the video.
Do any women work for ACF?
Anyone else having issues with the fetch? It is telling me the fetch failed. I tried testing other things out, and if you make the server component into a client one, and then use `useEffect`, it is able to then finally fetch the data.
