A Mechanic's Lien
I have a car that had a power train warranty on it. I bought the car from a dealer ship in Orange Texas. I live in Texas. Had the car for almost a year and the transmission had to be replaced. They told me it wasn't covered due to i took my car to get an oil change and since I did not call the warranty place it voided the warranty. Now they tell me it will cost 4,200 for them to fix it. I have some of the money, but they tell me that i have 30 days to come up the rest are they are going to file a mechanic lean. Just a question if I don't pay what will happen
I was told that some of the jobs we have are prevailing wages but have never been paid prevailing wages I think the company is scamming us how do I find out if they were prevailing wages ? To be sure before I call my lawyer
I was told by the Tax assessor rhat we only have 30 days from when the job was done to file the lien. So im confused if its 30 days or 3 months.
Paid for concrete to a person, and upon concrete delivery the supplier said they weren't paid and wants to collect, but paid this person who made the order, will supplier place lien, why are owners liable to pay again?
What if the Hiring Party legal name and contact is not true and found to be a scam who collected money but left supplier invoice unpaid, should a property owner be responsible for another payment, (pay twice)?
Another genius idea from our brilliant governor to stimulate business backpain and government growth
If I am acting as owner / builder do I list myself as the contractor on the Notice Of Commencement?
I just filed a mechanics lien but doubt it will be enough to get paid. Foreclosing on lien is coming up next
Does anyone know the math for prevailing wage percentage to add to the bid anything helps first time trying public works project
The utube spokesman for GardenCityConstruction is tops in my book.. u do well
Thanks for posting this. I’m a business owner ( specialty contractor ) out of MD. Have put in a request on your page. Hopefully it’s something I can use to collect for a past due job
Happy my contractor signed this since he left my bathroom unfinished. Thank you.
Shes got a cute Elvis lip
Hello, does contractor bond cover ADUs? Thanks
Hello ,the AIA G702-3 Forms can use from the companies they sell only Materials ?
Whats the maximum amount one can claim? Can Multiple claims be filed To recover full amount?
How to correct already sent AIA G703 CONTINUETION sheet to General Contractor
Where do I find the legal name of a property?
How do I fill out my G702 and G703 Continuation forms to get paid retainage?
Thank you for the great content.
How do i bill for initial payment, such as deposit. start for material and how do i apply a 10% retainer using the AIA billing format? Thank you in advance for your prompt response.
Sheisty contractors can also use a mechanics lien on completely innocent homeowners as well
So, they mention this: Mechanics lien act in banned books, and I wanted to know in what context it was banned, but maybe they overturned this activity to construction. And one of the most powerful which is construction is to use the mechanics lien process to leverage that process to make sure that you're paid and paid on time.11-166.exe
I tried to download the form I couldn't
How do I bill the retainage and a change order on the form
We have to give then time but these people expect everything quick
Great information but the background music was distracting and in my opinion doesn't need to be there.
Spoke to a surety agent who told me that they will bond me on a big project coming up, but that the contract payment will go straight to them and they will handle progress payments and purchasing materials... is this normal?
That’s very good conversation. This is reality in corporate world
I didn't know that Chandler Bing was a construction lawyer. Rest in peace Bing, God loves you.
If im correct, only sibs can do stop notice correct? Not a GC.
You guys do a really good job on all your videos thank you
how do I add an option when my previous application was not paid 100%?
How many property liens can on my placed in a house in california?
Do they have to have a license and do they have a contact? That’s what I read when they file
As a subcontractor who didn’t get paid like the firstt at half of a project I can still file a mechanics lien no? I shouldn’t have to wait until the project is done to file a lien?
I don't fucking get it fuck
I’m trying to file one for my automotive shop not a damn construction. They should not even call it a mechanics lien because they are not mechanics it’s stupid
Is a lien effective if you don't own any assets and you keep your money in another person's bank account?
Is there any industry more despicable than construction? Perhaps human trafficking.
Loud music is a bit distracting.
Great video, but if I could impart a suggestion: when you create a video that's intended to explain concepts using the spoken word, it's probably not a great idea to drown out the spoken words with too-loud and somewhat irritating background music.
thank you for sharing an extremely valuable video like this
this is very complicated. Needs to be a zoom live training or something that way we all share our info to be able to understand and work on some as we are trained.
Not really that hard once you get the hang of it.
To me it seems very complicated, specially when they have changes or amounts that are not approved yet, even i you ask beforehand. The forms are filled out and sent and then something needs to be adjusted or the change orders can't be added yet. The second form has to be filled out first then it jumps to the first form in order to work out, but still seems so complicated. Need more of a one on one or actually giving different scenarios, or do real live training like a zoom meeting that ay everyone learns and benefits from it.
What is considered a written contract? Is it just the actual contract for the scope of work that is to be performed?
