Question: There was chat on the vis about mid regatta shaving by Ben. I was brought up on Paul Elvstrom, who at one point shaved his head to reduce windage, and Dennis Conner "no excuse to lose". Drag is everything in this AC, surely the likes of Ben and indeed Tom S should shave every day! I am equally perplexed by world class track athletes male and female who run with ponytails, medallions etc.

You just know he's not running htop during a race, what was he hiding?

So they're on a fixed gear. I would expect every cyclor is connected, so the question is are they in sync or off by 12% or so to make sure there is constant power flow?

I’m a Kiwi and this is the first podcast I look for when I wake up every morning after racing. You guys are my second favourite team but I’m torn… On one hand I’d love you to make it to the Match but, on the other, if you don’t, I’m hoping we see you join the commentary team, Freddie. The races you did in the heli in Bermuda and Auckland are highlights I keep going back to. “That no-look gybe the Kiwis did…” 😍

Only just found this channel, wow what have I missed? Great interviews and nice insights. I am glued to the races here on CZcams and things have really changed since I was on "Lionheart" with Geoff Capes trying my hand at grinding lol. Go Team Ineos and big cheer for the littlies as you put it. ❤

I can see that none of the fuel cell boat are hosting the coaches, each time the Tv turn to coaches they are in normal fuel powered outboard with 4x 300hp V8 or V10.

Heartening day after being thrashed by ETNZ yesterday. But Mozzy is counselling caution - Britannia seems to have been designed for these conditions, but may still struggle in lighter winds. I guess we'll have to wait and see. At least we've avoided the disaster of going home first...

In the realm of marginal gains. I've noticed your comms are a little clunky. I'm an ex RAF fast jet pilot, when we flew formation and had to time individual actions precisely we used the word GO as the executive action. For example, you would say, "Board down, board down, GO. It's a lot easier to time and say than, 2,1, Board down and as the word GO is obviously much shorter it is more precise for synchronicity. This may be totally irrelevant but I thought I'd mention it. Well done on the win over Alinghi and all the best for the Cup.
