Terry Hall - I Don't Got You (1993 Mark Radcliffe Session)
I taped this on 22 November 1993, from a Mark Radcliffe Session broadcast on BBC Radio 1. I couldn't see it anywhere else online so thought I'd upload it. I assume he played other songs in the same session but I don't have any record of them.

The Flumps theme tune (full)

The full 1 minute 40 seconds version of 'The Flumps' theme tune. I got this mp3 somewhere online around 2002. According to Wikipedia, “The theme tune was played by George Chisholm on the trombone.” But we can still pretend it’s Grandpa Flump playing his Flumpet.

In episode 4 of the 1985 BBC drama 'Edge of Darkness', the police chase a suspect into the Barbican Centre... with inevitable results. This was about three years after the arts centre opened.
The Netizen (1996 or 1997)

Around 1996/7 Wired magazine was planning to start its own TV channel. The plan was shelved but this is, I think, a show that was made for the channel. Transferred from a VHS tape that I think was left lying around when Wired UK closed in 1997. (If you have more info that should be here, let me know.)

I was on BBC 1's 'The One Show' on 13 January 2011, talking briefly about Samuel Pepys and diaries. It was a lot of fun to do. I start at around 0:40. Here's some more stuff about the filming: www.gyford.com/phil/writing/2011/01/13/one-show/

Say what you like about Wired, but they certainly know how to produce a startling indictment of their own demented worldview...

I loved this place, it was a truly sad day when it closed and replaced by that god-awful 'sugar reef' club. Piccadilly was a great place to be in the 90s
