I think I understood you to say you want to collect colostrum ahead of time? I’m not a doctor but I did nurse both of my daughters for a year each. I didn’t have any colostrum that dripped out or anything, before having my babies. It can be a bit risky to stimulate your nipples (by pumping or squeezing) since it can cause contractions-or so mothers were told back in the day. Maybe check with your OB before doing it? Good luck to you, and CONGRATULATIONS!

Don't forget: nipple cream, bibs, receiving blankets and onesies and tshirts and outfits or layettes. Snacks for Mom while breastfeeding as it makes Mom very hungry. 😊😊

current cabin crew for emirates also about to resign. my reasons are a little different. my main reason is that i feel that the company has normalised a lot of borderline power harassment and extremely strange rules that people just kind of accept because of the salary benefits and being blinded by the 5star hotels. if you're from lesser earning countries i can see how that could be a huge factor to keeping your head down, which i think the company knows which is why from what i've seen most of the recruits who stay tend to be from countries where salaries are generally lower. i dont enjoy flying constantly under stress that on a 16 hour flight if i forget to unseal a bag of toys they could potentially fire me. i dont enjoy the fact that you could just fly with a bitter supervisor who could write whatever they want and then it's just your word against theirs which obviously management will only ever listen to the seniors. and then the whole "the customer is always right" which they take to a whole other level. i dont want to get potentially fired because someone didnt get their mango juice and decided to sprinkle in their own story in the complaint. of course you fly with amazing seniors too, but even just one crappy senior every couple of months who's eager to nit pick and report anything can really add up to warnings from management that expire over 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years respectively. you're basically fine as long as you don't get sick, dont get pregnant, dont forget anything ever even though you're doing 16 hour duties and havent slept in 2 days, and don't happen to look like someone your supervisor hates, and when you inevitably get told off and humiliated in front of everyone for human error or anything like that, you have to thank them and be apologetic. sure, ideally you wanna do everything perfectly all the time but this is life and we are human beings and if youre somewhere that's going to exaggerate every little thing and be quick to fire people just because they know they can get new recruits easily then youre really not somewhere stable and it's hard to feel supported basically i just feel like there's more to life, you know? i dont want to be in an environment where they act like the sun will explode if you forgot to give someone a pack of sugar for their coffee because at the end of the day frankly it's really not that deep.
