Hey Neil, would you consider using Photoshop and its generative AI tools? I just like how intuitive it is to have all the photoshop tools and layers, etc, all ready in one place. I know you already mastered Invoke, but I think it would be cool to see Photoshops AI tools at work with a digital painting. I think you might win some people easier with Photoshop.

I'm still not convinced that the AI's result is better than your drawing/painting. I feel like it's spitting out a generic rendering. It almost feels like an Adobe Illustrator raster image. Your drawing has your own personal "touch" to it. It's hard to say. But I could be wrong I guess, I'll check out your other AI videos in the meantime.

Oh good, another bad artist who’s shortsighted. with a “AI is gonna take all our jobs so we may as well accept it” type of mentality. fast foward to a few years from now where companies have absolutely no obligation to use anyone and just go straight to inputing trash images. My favorite thing about this video is how often you say “It’s what they wanted” or “I don’t like these”. Duh man, I can tell you have no control of the style or even understanding of composition. And people aren’t gonna trust you to do anything when your work is a literal Frankenstein of actual artists work. But hey I’m sure making all these Trash AI images will get you better at… Making bad AI images

At 25:45 , one could argue that your stylized drawing is actually "better" than what the AI turned it into. Realism isn't interesting to look at. It's the same when 2D shows are remade into 3D. 3D is almost always worse than 2D.

man you never complete a sentence and you repeat yourself to a point that is exhausting. feel like you don’t really have a grip about what you are talking about. there are terminology for the shadows, example core shadow , terminator, mid tones. cast shadows, etc. that was a bad explanation for saturation /shadows. sorry

I have ADHD and I've been trying to draw and use clay to make breasts and I just never found the right analogy, I'm only 10 minutes in and you've blown my mind it's as if everything I have been doing and drawing finally clicked to together. I had been trying to figure out a way to do it on my own. So Glad I found this!

...Notice how legit painting skills & solid drawing fundamentals were still necessary and the artist had total control of all his tools to get the exact result he wanted. That is a legit skill and craft, and still very hard work. This is ethical AI the way it's meant to be used. Kids, if you want to work in games, movies and fx, learn here!

The naysayers here are just ignorant and wrong; this is a great pro workflow and exactly how AI should be used- generating custom components & refs for photobashing; one of the most fundamental and important parts of all concept design in film, graphics and games for the past three decades. WAY better than image searching and having to find sources that already exist, and arguably much more ethical, bc you're not snipping parts of anyone elses' pics to collage, they're all your own art direction. This is no different than doing anything else in photoshop to generate & bash textures/fx/etc., some things we collage, some things we gen., some things we paint. Just like it's always been, but now you're able to get specific with form & detail. Would love if there were a live link between invoke and the image layer, would be like Firefly but just $25. But the manual back/forth looks plenty great & best of all it's affordable to anyone.

AI is theft on a macro scale, especially if it's being trained on image datasets from artists who didn't consent for their artwork to be used in a dataset. AI machine learning is not at all comparative to a human artist learning and even people who work with AI machine learning will tell you this. AI machine learning is taking data from thousands upon millions of images to compile and generate an image. This is something that a human straight up can't mentally do. A human artist might do master studies to improve their own abilities but this is filtered through the imperfections of a human mind. Obviously, a human mind cannot compete with something that is observing millions of images to generate its own output. Human artists do copy other artists, but they consciously choose aspects of artists that appeal to them and their own inner visual library that's defined by their preference and other inspirations. Whether they grew up with Jim Lee X-Men comics or Akira Toriyama Dragonball Z anime, human artists have their own subjective individual preferences that are that artist's tastes. Machine Learning cannot replicate this subjective preference without external help. It's just objectively pulling millions of datasets to compile and generate an output to comply with whatever preferences are dialed into it without an ounce of soul, personality or character tied to it. Artists like David Finch are probably much more open to concept of their art inspiring future human artists rather than his specific art style being sold and packaged by people who hold the licenses to AI Image Generators. That's why he published that tutorial in the first place. Artists want to share with other artists. Not Machine Learning. I think you buying so much into AI that you plastered a shitty AI filter over your face and singing its praises when you were a talented artist in the past is honestly pretty depressing.

For a channel called 'Learn2Draw", you seem to have a pretty heavy aversion to drawing? I get the impression you're trying to differentiate your "artwork" as "AI Enhanced", but it all still feels like AI slop lacking any real soul. Absolutely embarrassing. EDIT: Just discovered your Graphic Novel, Aditireborn. The fact you went from drawing your own comic to shilling AI is absolutely depressing. Holy hell.

Using AI its not teaching anybody, anything, its like skipping all the process of fundamentals, rendering, lighting, perspective, form, color variations, gradations, structure but just letting AI doing for you so you can have excuse in lacking skill on those fields, bad content :(
