Lord, I hope Rich went out like Elijah.🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽💯💯💯🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽Love and peace everyone.❤
Another thing I especially loved about Rich Mullins is the way he referenced things pertaining to New York City and New Jersey in many of his songs even though he was a Midwestern boy. Every time I hear him sing, I say to myself the same thing. “ White boy sing
Rich Mullins is so special to me days after the attack on New York City on September 11 my DEACONATE studies began at an historic Lutheran Church in New York City Columbus Circle area. I lived in Brooklyn, which meant I had to travel an hour by train to get there. Traveling on the subways, especially after 911 was nerve-racking. During that time. We didn’t know if we were going to be bummed again and especially if the subways we’re going to be sabotaged it was very easy to imagine water rushing in as we travel underground underneath the Brooklyn Bridge or being stuck in a cave in which would literally take our breath away. During that time, I had a new CD by Rich Mullins. I don’t know the title right now, but it had the word liturgy in it. That was a nice Lutheran word so I began listening to it while traveling to subways. And listening to Rich Mullins music for our ride to and from the city , the subway car became my sanctuary and that’s when I fell in love with his voice with his vision with his sound. I can appreciate him saying what contemporary Christian music is just a bunch of melodies chords and sounds but for me during that time, especially those songs were source of comfort and healing. I was sad to see him go, but I guess he went out like a Elijah just like the song said.
Sing whiteboy sing
Still love this!
Can’t Wait To Meet All My Brothers and Sisters Who Have gone home before Me. Soon We Will Dance Around Jesus.
Amen brotha soon and very soon We are gonna see The KING brotha Rich Mullins
Ok Rich, gotcha! Romans 10:9-10 “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and Believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Saved=Born Again Spiritually
Rich Mullins was...Honest...we could use more transparent honesty in the world today...
What a humble man… We listen to contemporary music to drown out the world… Thank you for your beautiful music
Love the pure soul he poors into everything he sang and wrote. He was a humble man. Beautiful ❤
singing starts at 1:27
Very humble man no one is perfect, but it says the pure in heart shall see God, and I bet that rich visited the Lord through many songs
The movie about Rich Mullins, did not do this man justice.
Prayer granted. Missed so much still.
Love this!
2024
I miss his music. It filled the church with the Holy Spirit!
Put the bible to music
What a genius- got me thru a whole lot of life - and a generous one. 🩵💫
I have literally been to hundreds of concerts and by far the most memorable and meaningful concert was Rich Mullins.
Love this song!!
Rebuke the Devil and Seek Christ...
Rich had the heart of Almighty God and the mind of Christ Jesus! Now he's living inside God's heart! Hallelujah!! Thank You Jesus for Rich Mullins and others like him! Bless him. 🥰🙏✝️🙌💥🔥🕊️🎉
Thanks for sharing ❤️🩹❤️🔥💖💗
I was blessed to attend his concert in Salem, Missouri.
I would want this song at my funeral
Death appears so often in Rich's songs, the biggest fear of humanity.
Incredible!!!!
So awesome!!!!!
I enjoyed playing his music with my wife and daughter and 3 foster children going to church. None of us cared about our sound but just sang w/out a care. Hold Me Jesus has kept me going since his death. I relate to the battles with life and death. I was blessed to watch the Ragamuffins and yes, it was healing but I certainly missed the voice and character of Rich. Blessings to all of you who posted. We are United in Christ, in part , because of the ministry of Rich . ❤ Be strong and share your story as Rich told his. Amen. Love to you all.
This song was hauntingly prophetic considering how he went out in such a violent manner. But probably quick and now he gets to spend eternity with the Lord. 💖
When I learned of circumstances of his death I was deeply saddened. Riding in an open top Jeep without wearing a seatbelt. I could not figure it then and still cannot. Rich was the most honest and genuine of "contemporary Christian" musicians of the 20th century.
It broke my heart to say goodbye. I remember every year.
Gosh y miss him 😢❤
Good thing God likes weirdos, or many of us would have perished. ❤📖
I remember the day he left and it was announced on the radio. He wrote this last song Elijah. Back in 1998. The following year lost my husband and a friend. I can say they aren’t missing out on anything this world has to offer now.
Rich had a way as the lord did at thumbing his nose at the “religious”….I Love It because Jesus hates “religion”
I Love this song from the first time I heard it! Rich Mullins... He is there now!
This is wild. So prophetic.
It won't break my heart to say goodbye
I became born again after listening to Rich Mullins song Creed. I was up late one night in the middle of the night, 14 years old and noticed a Christian music channel on my cable so I decided to see what sort of songs played on it. Rest in peace Rich. Thank you for blessing this world with so many beautiful songs.
❤
Praise God, you are one of the reasons Rich Mullins poured his heart out to us. Your story is so uplifting
Christians are just forgiven humans that mess up a lot. Who keep trying to become like Gods' ways. Be more like Jesus. Go figure. We are not perfect. 💖 Gods not done with us yet. Thank you God.
Rich did go out in chariot (jeep) of fire.
I got your wolf! czcams.com/video/cPqRUTPlef8/video.html Yoplait, witch way- we go for the gold? You are narcissistic abusers! You might as well join the pedophiles- you are no better! "Not a single one is righteous" They just claim to be! You raised me in this poooooo! I know who I am! And I know you hear me! "I cared for you since you were born- I carried you before you were born" "I made you and I will care for you- I will carry you along and save you" "I alone am God" My Father and I have been doing this for a long time :-) Awoo!!! The wolverine! "You will be called by worse names..." :-) Go get those pedophiles! Let's go after the real wolves!
The older I get, the more I wish I could have remembered him when he was alive (He passed when I was about 8) But the Christianity he practiced still inspires- the longing for Home while loving the beauty of where we are encapsulates so much.
i became a christian in 2016 and feel like i missed out on so much. I would have loved being one sooner and listening to Rich while he was alive, but i was heard headed.
@@living_the_mac_and_cheese_life We're thankful that you are here now. <3
Very true "some people would be friendly, but never be your friend." Two of my favorites, "Hold Me Jesus," and "Oh, The Love of God"
the faces tell it all: we all knew he was telling us the truth
Has some new meaning to it for sure for some time
Adam, thank you for sharing this video or Rich. Can you please make the entire video czcams.com/video/-dqXcmkiq2w/video.html public so we can all hear the entire video. Currently it's listed as private. Thank you in advance. Be blessed!
Rich was far deeper and more spiritual than any other Christian artist ever! Trust me I know I live in the Franklin Tennessee.
A very underestimated Christian musician. I believe he was so far ahead of his contemporaries at the time. I mean we still sing his music even today. Years after he departed this existence. Now he has joined heavens choir.
