This video show how Thor Heyerdahl's grandson, Olav, restored the famous Kon-Tiki balsa-log raft in 2013.

A short version of the famous documentary of the Kon-Tiki Expedition in 1947. Thor Heyerdahl, together with 5 friends, built a replica of an ancient Peruvian balsa-log raft and sailed from Callao, Peru, to Raroia in the Tuamotus. The film won Oscar for best documentary feature in 1951.

October 6th the Kon-Tiki Museum in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, celebrated the 50th anniversary of Thor Heyerdahl's Ra II expedition from Safi, Morocco, to Barbados.

Gerd ble kjent med Thor Heyerdahl under krigen og er kjent for oss som Kon-Tiki-flåtens gudmor, la madrina de la balsa. Foredraget er i to deler, fra Kon-Tiki Museet lørdag 7. mars.
