Buying a Roadster Shop SPEC Chassis for my 1969 Camaro
In this video I do something that I never thought was possible, I bought a Roaster Shop SPEC Chassis for my 1969 Camaro. This is a big accomplishment for me so I wanted to take you guys on the ride to pick it up. I will be disassembling this chassis and plumbing it up with fuel and brake lines in the next video. I do also want to make a follow-up video to this where I talk about why I bought the frame and answer any questions that people might have. If you have any questions or want to stay up to date with the build please subscribe and follow me on social media!

AMD Tail Panel Install | 1969 Camaro Protouring Build #4
zhlédnutí 2KPřed 3 lety
In this video, I'll be going over the basics of installing an Auto Metal Direct tail panel for a 1969 Camaro. This tail panel will NOT fit a 1967-68 Camaro however the procedure is still the same. Sorry about any of the missing videos, I had a lot of issues with my cameras. If you like the video or the build please subscribe and like the video! Detroit Speed Minitub Install | 1969 Camaro Build #3
zhlédnutí 10KPřed 3 lety
In this video, I'll be installing a Detroit Speed Minitub kit for 1967-1969 F-Body Cars. This kit will allow me to install a much wider rear tire and that will ultimately improve traction later on during driving. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of clips and time-lapses during the filming of this video so there may be some jumps from clip to clip. I would like to also say that the Detroit Speed kit ...
Filling The Deck Filler Panel Seam! - 1969 Camaro Project Part #2
zhlédnutí 1,4KPřed 4 lety
In this video, I will be addressing the deck filler panel and the firewall where the emergency brake mounts. The deck filler panel has 2 seams where it is supposed to get spot welded to the quarter panel but I take an alternate route in the repair in order to see how it turns out. I also address the firewall where the emergency brake mounted because the metal in that area had stressed and crack...

In this video I'll briefly introduce my longterm 1969 Camaro restoration project and I'll be finishing up the floor pan. I've made a list of stuff that still needs to get done before I can start to prep the car for paint so expect more videos. If you have any questions, feel free to comment. Yooooo… update, update!
Why did you not have it powder coated?
Why it aint coated and painted?
You were so excited you never posted again….😢
Updates???
Any update??
Man you would have soooo many subs if you posted more. Left me on a cliff hanger after not posting more with this chassis for 9 months 😅
I didn't see a follow up video was wondering how much a chassis like this would cost?
I really like your new chassis.....but why didnt you have them powder-coat to protect it from rusting.
Any update on this build?
Does spec chassis make a full frame for a 69 dart?
DSE could def do better on instructions. They are ok but not great by any means.
It took seven months to deliver?
Really interested in how this install goes!
Thanks for the video
Do you mind if I ask, how much was it?
Probably $20 grand
How long did it take you to get it after ordering?
What kind of money does a chassis like that set you back
That chassis a step up not back, it’ll make the car just a joy to pilot, 🤛🏻

Subbed. Wanna see where you take this 1st gen!
Also the full frame , bad to the bone can't wait to see it All together, I have a 69 as well debating on getting one if not to involved and a bunch of cutting, good job good luck.
Hell yea! I can’t wait either! The frame that I ordered should bolt right in with no body modifications. I think the FastTrack chassis requires cutting the floor pan up but the SPEC is bolt on.
I would advise against welding that seam , the body is designed to flex there, spot weld inside and 3m fast and ferm seam seeker, if it is welded it might crack rear window fyi
Yes sir you are correct. I purchased a full frame so the body won’t be flexing like it would have originally.
Have you gotten estimates on how much it will cost to powder coat?
Yes sir! About $1800 from local shops around me.
Exciting times indeed!!! Can't wait to see how your build progresses!!
I ordered my Fast track chassis with independent rear suspension for my 66 impala. Can wait to get mine. Keep up the good work. Please post more videos of your build!
Dude, you’re making me seasick
Hey brother, I appreciate the feedback and appreciate the view. I realize that my videos might be a little more “shaky” than some of the top CZcamsrs but 1. I don’t have a production team 2. I don’t have expensive cameras and 3. I’m literally holding the camera from my hand. I’m not sure what you would have me do but I am open to suggestions and further feedback. Also, if a video like this is making you “seasick” you might want to get checked for vertigo or other similar condition. Thanks and have a blessed day 🙏🏼
i’m a little dizzy too but this content is golden.
How much was it ?
I’ll be posting a video soon and will discuss the total cost!
@@305Mitchsame question, did you order direct or go through a "dealer"?
@@tripletaptommy Ordered right off their site!
Super dope!! I received my SPEC chassis for my Chevelle back in I think October. The are gorgeous pieces of engineering. I’m trying to document all the building on CZcams as well. Good luck, I’ll be checking in.
Keep the vids coming

Got a Spec chassis for my Chevelle..the best! #Roadstershop
Yesssir!!! 🔥🔥🔥
❤❤
Dude PLEASEEE continue to post content of your build of the 69!! Congratulations on the bad ass chassis, you can never go wrong with Roadster Shop products.
Already have the next video recorded! Thanks for 100 subs!
@@305Mitch we need the video of you putting the body on!
That is a beautiful piece of kit! Stay on this man I really want to see how this mounts up! I almost bought a roadster shop Fram but ended up buying the Scotts Hotrods version for the build I am documenting on my channel. Can't wait to see more!
Subbed! Im interested to see how the two compare, and the only reason I went with roadster shop vs anybody else was simply because I was familiar with them.
I wonder which one handles the best on track and with a lot of power
Thanks bro
I’m working on a 67 , right quarter is where I’m at . Great video
Gonna tub my 68 bird...Thx!
great video. Thanks for taking the time to make it. About to start this install on my '67 and this is very helpful.
No problem there’s more to come! I just finished recording my next video where I swapped on Brembo brakes off a 5th gen so stay tuned!
Wow! Great video man!
Nice video. Keep them coming
Thanks brother!
Nice work!
Thank you!
Next time you weld sheet metal, weld in half inch intervals and go back and fill in so it keeps from warping the sheet metal.
Thanks for this video. I've been considering doing this on my already finished 67 Camaro. Your video makes it much more straightforward. Nice job.
67 did not have staggered shock mounts, while 68-69 do, so that is why there is a difference on passenger side.
That makes sense! Thanks for the info!
Awesome video and keep up the good work! People don't realize how much work actually goes into these cars but you're doing great!
Thanks for the feedback!
your camera action sucks I hade a headache the hole time trying to watch. learn how to work a camera before doing any more videos And do not use your PH.
Hey, I appreciate the feedback! If you ever want to work on your spelling or grammar I'm your guy! Also, please let me know when you upload a video so I can be sure to comment on your camera work. Considering your channel only consists of playlists from other channels I highly doubt you'll ever upload a video.
Make sure to subscribe so you can see when I upload next, I'd love more of your feedback!
