I’ve had a pair of these OneUp composite pedals since about 2020, but they started clicking last year. I disassembled and regreased them with marine grease, and they worked well for a few rides, but now are clicking again. I will try to regrease again, but if the clicking persists, I might look for something else.

Rode most of these trails yesterday and it was quite the blast. I’m not crazy on the bike but def got some nice speed and little air here and there and made for such a great time. I really do love the challenges at DuPont and the flowy trails. Awesome video!

Did some 23-34 miles at Dupont on a single speed hardtail. In some areas, I was working harder on the descents than the climbs.

I got to ride this place recently and the builders did a great job with what they have to work with overall. The "big" jumps are hard work to hit hard due to lack of speed it takes a lot of pop.

Do you have problems with SQUEAKY MIPS..? and what is the cure.. would a silicone based lube work, or would that deteriorate the MIPS material..?

Even though it seems tougher hitting the peaky line on those table tops will help you get over them much easier than the low line

It’s nothing like this right now

the fork is good and maintains support and good begining stroke without being harsh, The damper and airspring are phenominal with great attention to detail and capability. but he chassis is not meant for harder riding. I knew a guy who deseated his bushings after one day at snowshoe, I blew up 2 dampers, and bushings in only 100 hours on a mk1. I have 30 hours on my mk2 and The bushings already have significant wobble. It's not meant to be run at 170mm (27.5) Under hard braking and doing endos I can feel the whole thing flex. It can't take abuse like a 38 or a ZEB even if it is within the riding that it should be capable of.

Can Enduro bike handle black trails?

I been riding Mountain Bikes since 1990. Came into the sport from Road Riding/Racing. Been riding Shimano SPD pedals since they were introduced decades ago. For the fun of it I decided to learn to ride Flat pedals this summer. Bought 510 shoes and One Up Composite pedals. It’s been about 9 weeks now and I have been developing a better feel for Flats. A couple of riding buddies let my try different brands they use for comparison. I prefer the One Up to Race Face and Crank Brothers I tried. Think I will definitely finish out the year on 5he One Up Composite Flat Pedals. I still need to improve. Have put the Shimano SPD’s back on twice and still more secure and aggressive on gnarly downhill sections being connected to the bike.

We used to walk those trails to fish years ago before mountain biking out there became so popular. Now they think the trails belong to them and they don't watch out for others.... sad to see really.

Hey came by this video a few years late but there are new trails being built now at Stumphouse. New green and blue type jump trails in progress, plans for a “pro-line,” a new black XC style loop, a supper fun ‘mostly’ downhill trail (so far its simply called trail #7), and more. You should check it out again sometime. By the end of the summer a lot of the new stuff will probably be complete!

Just returned to Dallas from a family reunion in Pisgah Forest. Rode exactly the trail you described. Rented a bike from The Hub for a cousin who wanted to try mountain biking. The climb up Thrift Cove was tough but the Lower Black was incredible. Cousin had a bad spill but not much damage and he is now hooked. One thing you cannot capture on video is the steepness of the trail. To anyone who is thinking about it, it is a challenging steep, black trail that is very doable. Thanks for the excellent video!!

How is the breathability? Have you tried the 2022 and 2023 models? how does the breathability compare to Freerider?

I think the shoes you show have the DST 6.0 HIGH GRIP rubber, which is not grippy enough I agree, even with Catalyst pedals with long pins, but the 4.0 Max Grip on the newer model is, I have 2022 TNT, they grip well. As well as Freerider. I've not tried the Hellion yet. but Size 44 2022 TNT fits me well, same fit as Size 44 Five Ten. They fit me well with and without Space Brace 2 ankle braces. But 2021 Hell cat were too snug at the ankle, heel area, so they could be painful if the plate in the brace was not perfectly aligned, even so not optimal, and they were difficult to put on.
