How do you rinse it out without the color going on the rest of your hair?

How do you do the back and how do you wash it out and keep the dye from "staining" the rest of the hair?

What color is the bottom, I couldn't tell, its not brassy blonde or yellow bleached- it's a perfect color though, about to do my friends hair just like this- great job, it looks great!!!
