Seeing her video yesterday addressing him was very heartbreaking! I’m so disappointed with the Liberian system.

The justice system in Liberia filled her she and her family did not take the bribe but those called lawyers and judges took the bribe they should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to one of their own.

I heard your examples, most of those behaviors has to do with upbringing and exposure. That’s how these people had live for generations. For those of us who have lived in the west will tend to appreciate things people do for us.

We already know what that was.... When I lived in Ghana and has a landlord-tenant dispute after paying a LOT to live in my neighborhood, I was told to go to housing with a man with a big stomach and a big (expensive) car--- that I should bribe the man at the housing department. I didn't know any big man" with a "big car" so I went there, told him I have a bottle of French vodka and that it was opened but only had 1 drink from it. He told me to bring it come.... Not only was this a case of White privilege compounded by being Oboronyi, he likely gave the judge a measley $1000 USD to get off the hook, if that much.

My experience in Liberia was heart felt and amazing, but yet sorrowful as well. I had so many emotions and saw so many challenges that could turn into opportunities. I’ve been doing a couple virtual workshops with the Federation of real estate agencies of Liberia. My company developing the first multiple listing services Liberian listing services as well. I definitely understand where you’re coming from about the entitlement mentality. I have experienced this with my own siblings and family members and Liberia when I look at my Sendwave I have sent over $40,000 helping these people every month every other week and sometimes I’ve had arguments people yell and just say things that don’t make sense to me sometimes I say you know what no more I’m gonna put you guys on a budget once a month, when I tell you the attitude that I get for one of my cousins is unbelievable just being there this past December spent over $15,000 and $10,000 just being in Liberia all trying to help them at some point in time you have to provide you have to stop what you’re doing and teach them how to fish for their selves and not always try to give but even when you try to do that it’s still they don’t get it for example Ma we need some rI have money to go out my we order the children School but you will be telling me you need all these things but you’re not priority asking what you need first so why are you telling me you needed this that you asked me for money to do something else so I just don’t get it but there’s a part of me that feels that because one of them is my sibling which she’s not too bad, she she take care of her children and herself, and has a business but at some point in time I had to tell her listen, I help you start this business so you can be self-sufficient and it’s time for us to step it up to another level I’m always asking her, so she’s gotten better on that, but my other cousin for get it when you get ready he will act like a little child and he just doesn’t get it he think when he request something you send it on the spot you know it’s just the entitlement thing is so true

One sad thing about us Liberians is how nicely we are to other cultures and races in our country but we get the opposite treatment everywhere. Liberians treat Chinese, Indians, and pretty much anyone with white skin like gods but get treated like crap in those people's countries.

I have heard those same things about Air Moroc. I go to Liberia twice per year. Never flying with anyone but Brussel and United.

It's crazy you said doors. That's one of the nicest things I noticed too. One of my biggest peppee about Liberian constitution is how terrible their doors and windows are constructed and I'm sure you see that as well that's why noticed it lol. Anyways thanks for sharing. It's a beautiful place.
