The Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1988 at Butler University. Our primary goal is to provide quality study abroad opportunities, plus academic and personal support services, for qualified North American undergraduates seeking to earn academic credit through study abroad. While the Institute for Study Abroad is affiliated with Butler University, it is not a department of the university.
IFSA is organized to assist our students from the time they apply until after they return. Our staff in Indianapolis prepare students for the academic and cultural changes that await them, and our offices around the world provide on-site support to help students make the most of their study abroad experiences.
IFSA currently operates programs in Argentina, Australia, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Cuba, England, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Peru, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Sri Lanka, and Wales.

Brushstrokes Across Borders: Tristen’s London Journey Through Art
Tristen Tate provides highlights of her first time traveling abroad and studying at SOAS, University of London with IFSA. She discusses how her arts classes, gallery visits, other European travels, as well as street art, helped to make her experience reflective and memorable.
Tristen Tate, a student at Claremont McKenna College, studied in England with IFSA at SOAS, University of London, in spring 2024. Tristen also served as an IFSA Student Marketing Correspondent during her time abroad.

@@fishnchips727 If you just want to know about about the people, I'd say they are cool and curious. If you love their country and have a good vibe. You'll be fine. As it relates to developing deep bonds, it may be more complicated. I do share about the culture on here, that might give you a better perspective.
