    So the T20 is a 5/8" or 7/8" rigid style t connection? All I need to purchase is a T20 x T16 connector to use on my ridgid sectional cables?

    • @tranceaddiction
      @tranceaddiction Před měsícem

      I purchased these adapters. If you have a sectional machine, a T16, which the leader has a connection too, WILL FIT on a 5/8" cable. The T20 isn't for a 7/8" sectional cable. I hope this clarifies things.

    Great Video JJ! Could you make a video about running the Flexshaft in a carrier? When you would, how long of a shaft can fit in the carrier, what size shafts for the carrier? Or is that is better practice to always lay it all out before using the Flexshaft?

    • @tranceaddiction
      @tranceaddiction Před 24 dny

      No, it's too flimsy, it won't handle the torque. For that size, a 8mm is the right application for that size.

    Is it better to use a thicker shaft for longer distances. Here in Canada we have on average 30m sewers with only upstream access 100mm-150mm on residential applications. Sometimes the access points are 75mm and have a 90 degree bend before getting into the 100mm pipe. Which size shaft or shaft would you recommend

      Great question :) I used to use thread locker on my set screws, but I change chains often, and it became a bit of a hassle. so I bought a bag full of spare screws and replace them whenever I loose one when my shaft experiences excess vibration. • @plumbertools
      @plumbertools Před rokem

      Hi Ruthven, Yes, definitely. This is the main feature of these shafts. They are less flexible which has an advantage over longer distances and offers more torque to the chains. You can pick them up here ... plumber-tools.com/products/Flexible-Shaft-Set-Shaft-Sleeve-&-Friction-Bearings-p417184041 We wind them in opposing directions on a single mandrel, which gives them equal torque in both directions. This helps when you find yourself stuck on a solid obstruction, and need to reverse the drill to get free.

You can pick one up here ... plumber-tools.com/products/Flexible-Shaft-Set-Shaft-Sleeve-&-Friction-Bearings-p417184041 This cable is a bit less flexible than the one that came with his machine. The advantage to this is that it wont coil on the inner pipe wall over longer distance, and the torque delivery to the chains is considerably more efficient. I think this is a 20 meter long shaft
