4 years old (2019), 15.1hh Black Irish cob with four white socks and 10” bone. Has been ridden by women and men. Quality correct confirmation. No blemishes.
Never hunted but very brave out hacking and has jumped logs, etc. Has been loose jumped over bigger fences with ease. Happy to lead in front or behind out hacking and has hacked on own. Has been in school and knows the basics for suppleness, etc, but has big expressive paces and an engine, so he can get nervous of his power when it unbalances him in the school.
Has been shown successfully in hand, been on a fun ride, boxed up to the woods, so he had seen the world. Imported raw from Ireland in 2022.
Impeccable to fully clip, load, travel, stands in box for as long as you need him to, travels on his own or with company, very clean in stable, good in a herd or individual turnout, very good for farrier (hot shod in front), comes to the gate to call, can bath with a hosepipe, stands at mounting block, good to tie up, pick up feet, etc. Totally uncomplicated.
Up to date with vaccinations, wormer, teeth.
Very sad sale of this quality HW cob. Only for sale due to owner health and family commitments.
He is only 4 this time, so green and has a lot to learn. No novices/ passengers, only people experienced riders, as he still needs to further education. If you are looking for kick along plod, this is not the cob for you. He has a large engine and is forward thinking.
