F150 Makeover
In this video we give a Ford F150 a makeover. I purchased this truck for a steal, and I want to give it a makeover to see how much profit I can make. I wash and buff the entire truck and give it a full detail. The truck gets new: emblems, taillights, radio, body line paint and many more upgrades. This truck also gets a new engine, rear shocks, front struts, and a leveling kit to make it look sleek. Thanks for watching Barnyard Mechanic, we hope you enjoyed it! See ya next time.

If you can get your hands on any, put a convex washer under the nut before you weld it
I got a 1999 Toyota forerunner and I just want the rear window rolled up but I want to do it manually without power. Any tips? You seem like you know quite a bit.
I got an old unloved 1st gen 4 runner, Mine needs work, but man I don’t envy you. That one had the mad wire hacker in there. I am at point in vid where you just started messing with the rear. Can’t wait til you bring it back to glory days.. Good luck
Looks like we had the same lift kit brain-o.
@@robertmcclure184 I will have more on the first gen 4runner soon. I have been collecting parts.
What ever happened to the Takeuchi Excavator, did you ever get it to run? No part two???
@@bigwill7300 we had to find a different engine. I will be back on it soon

Which throttle body did you buy on rock auto if you remember?
@7ravon555 not sure what the brand was but I would have gotten a oe replacement. It was a customers vehicle.
Yeah your bottom head....😮😂😂😂
My old auto teacher used to say “everything understands a little bit of force, women, children, and cars” 😂
These don't come compressed. Just remove the one arm bolt and lime it up, than use a jack to jack up the arm and align that bolt again and put everything back together. 👌 Please dont do this my friends. Used a jack and take that back bolt off
What conversion kit did you use? I have a 1999 F350, and the parking brake is shot.
Don't they come compressed with zip ties on them? And then you're supposed to install them with the zip ties on them and then once they're installed you cut the zip ties off that's how I do it works every time there's no headache I'm just wondering if yours didn't come with zip ties already compressed
On the full video, I am installing a 2" front end correction to lift the front end level with the rear. The shorts don't have enough time to explain that.
what did you do about the Tcase and utilze the toyota axle being a passanger side drop pumkin?
I am using a np231c that is a passenger side drop that will work with the toyota passenger side third
Im currently looking at an ls swap along with the 3 link sas swap. my question is the ls stock oil pan is a clearance issue for my build. im wanting to wheel it. and curious to know if i got a low profile ls oil pan if it would give me more room for axle up travel.
The clearance is close and the low profile oil pans may not make much of a difference because it makes the oil pan longer. If you have the room to push the engine forward about 1.5 inches that would help.
Just a simple jack to take pressure off the body of the bolt, make life a lot more easy
It's always the simple things that work the best.
@@barnyardmechanic3622 for sure!!!
Kinda looks like an f150. If you ever run into that again put your impact on the bolt and spin it with out putting force towards the bolt. They will probably twist them selves out. You can put an open end wrench that's smaller than the bolt head but larger than the shank and pull when spinning.
I let that bolt win for way to long
The hammer looks like a steal bottle
It's nicknamed the bull prick
Thats alot of plastic...
I agree
Nice facelift
Better to look at
Real nice truck
Thanks
Oh hell no it's not to late to throw that crap back in the box and go to the junkyard and get all the disc brake parts from a later truck. That kit doesn't have a disc brake master cylinder or prop valve, also an off road kit is code word for half baked.
I have recently put in a rearend from a 2001 with the factory disc brakes. Works great and was way easier.
I like your work its real life keep it up weell done.. ive just done a conversion on a ln111r with a ls1 in it just waiting for engineering. . By the way when your trying to rub of white board markers of your board use the same marker to go over your writing and it will wipe straight of.
I am still making progress. it's just the wiring for the transmission, that is making it take so long. I think my whiteboard is messed up, but I will try your trick next.
I used the ls1 stock no mods. 4l60e all original wiring and IFS . I made it plug and play so if motor blows up unbolt it and bolt another straight in. Toyota engine mounts on chassis and ls1 rubber mounts. Just a little hint for your next one. I'm in perth W.A. if want some ideas for another video.
@craigivas4037 I don't have much say in this build. I would have used a different transmission. The issue I am having is the tps input won't work with the drive-by wire throttle body, so I have to make a pedal position sensor.
Have you heard of arduino if notlook it up you can and change voltages and calibrate your tps to what ever settings you like. I did iit to my ba rtv ute which i used the original accelerate pedal and converted to e.v.
@@craigivas4037 I will check it out
ok question on rea rend i have 1997 dully 2 wheel drive power stroke. and the drum is behind meaning you have to pull the axle to change the shoes. is that how you can tell what kit to order?
Damn the amount of people that pointed out that you made a mistake in the title is outrageous. People quick to point out pointless issues as they knew what you were trying to say.
Thanks for that. I hope everyone realizes that mistakes are easy to make.

Use fishing line 👍🏻 your welcome

I hit the end of the hub with a dead blow hammer, works every time
I just put my W56 back together yesterday. Didn’t do a full tear down. Bought it from a junkyard and just split the cases to inspect and check tolerances. Such an easy little part to work on once you get in there😂😂😂 today I’m doing the t cass! 😁😁
They are the best transmission to work on.
Use, braided spiderwire fishing line.
Heat gun....lol
Heat gun helps.
Heat up the badge with a heat gun or even a hair dryer loosens up the glue they use to stick on the badge. I did it with my accord letters and it came off easily just had a bit of leftover glue I had to scrape notbing big.
Part 2?
Waiting on the machine shop.

Maybe fishing line next time?
Heat it up first! That’s how I got tags off my motorcycle
Heat it up first with a blow dryer and then use fishing line to remove the badge. You’re welcome.
Fishing line is a good one. Thanks
20lb braid is like a knife, ask me how I know 😂

And it's great that all that dirt is in the cylinder now.
Was thinking the same.
The dirt was not the main issue. It now needs a rebuild.

Break your Femur, and that's how they installed the rod and the same procedure to take it out. Good times.
That don't sound fun at all
Yop. Been done. Done it. They also make pneumatic removers that work on the same principal.
