Recorded off the air at a time when "pay TV" channels broadcast with a form of copyguard, rendering home recordings dark and often distorted. Nevertheless, the audio is intact.

truly gentleman. America's Prince...its been almost 25th🖤✨🌹
Che coppia di talenti!😂😂😂
WOW. I met Earl Wild in NYC in July 2005 at the Mannes College of Music. His kickoff to his 90th birthday celebration. I also attended the master class the following day and he mentioned to one of his students the part about 'why are you looking up? God isn't going to help you!' I loved hearing him say that in this interview!! <3
A close friend and I had a table right next to the piano for what would end up being one of Short's final shows at The Carlyle. We chatted him up briefly afterwards, and he was exactly the same offstage as on - witty, impossibly debonnaire, and a bit haughty (in a good way). 20 years on, we still talk about that show, and regard going to see it as one of the smartest moves we ever made. Short was truly one of a kind.
I'm so glad you posted this . I thought she was forgotten . But alas,we have this..❤
Peter Schickele is dynamite!
Although Alicia is no longer with us, God now has another great piano legend with him for heavan concerts along with Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and Chopin.
Cecilia, you're the best I've ever seen. Long live Cecilia. Greetings from Turkey. ❤
What a young Tim Page! I'm all for my fellow women succeeding, but Tureck is such a bore here.
I saw her Turandot in Toronto. It was spectacular. She's a wonderful person.
A great loss to humanity...
Fabulous artist and rsrthy lady
PDQ grew up in Fargo ND🎉. Does it explain anything. Actually he had a great show about serious classical music.
The music teacher at the Rochester Institute of Technology was a fan of PDQ Bach. He played "New Horizons in Musical Appreciation" for us and led the university chorus in singing "My Bonnie Lass she Smelleth". That was enough to convince me to buy my first PDQ Bach Album, "The Wurst of PDQ Bach". He was brilliant.
Brought tears to my eyes
This man was FINE!!!!
Perfection
The only thing better would have been Barbra singing a Gershwin song! Heaven!
Braviiiiisimoooooo 👏👏👏👏
This was a return to her straight hair and she looks fantastic! It was very rare (and still is) for Barbra to make a public appearance. She has always put a great deal of effort into her presentations and acceptance speeches on award shows.
Almost better than Sabrina Salerno
Yesterday Takács-Nagy Quartet. Today Takács Quartet.
Seeing the original Smallwood singers and Nancy starting to dance was everything❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think this is the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra with Gerard Schwarz in Avery Fisher Hall.
Eileen Farrell! The forgotten world renowned voice. What a wonderful lady
Callas thought she was fabulous
His reputation continues to grow with each passing year.
I wish Dame Joan Sutherland had sung a bit longerーat least up until she turned 70. She retired too early; she could have silenced cynical critics longer.
¡¡ FELICIDADES A TOD@S MAESTRO !!
¡¡ 2:16 HERMOSAS RECUERDOS MAESTRE !! ❤
Great to see Herb representing the BSO!
Great nuggets of wisdom that are still seemingly relevant.
Great bit of history from a very important group.
Amazing, keeps me happy and entertained. Nice video👏😄.
Anyone in that audience was hearing-watching history in the making!
She's 24! Unbelievable! She was a finished product when she was 19!
I have loved her my entire life. As a little girl I would watch her on tv with her beautiful head wraps and wonderful designer gowns. Her voice would bring me to tears.
One ofmy my very very favourite singers.
I’m obsessed with this performance and Mrs Leontyne Price! 😍😍😍 Spectacular First Lady Reagan was genuinely flooooating ! 😊
What a dumb report. She admits they were filming him the whole time. Then he has had enough. Poor guy couldn’t go anywhere without reporter’s tagging along. He didn’t choose to be famous. The press still hounds people now. Get a life and let people have some privacy!
What a class act. He had a right to be upset, but he took the high road and apologized.
I wonder where all those "best singers in the world" disappeared? lol
Giacomini se le mangia gli altri due. Norman completamente fuori ruolo.
😅😅
Vozeirão pra ninguém colocar defeito. Lindo canto.
Thank you for this great interview with maestro, Rockwell Blake!
The greatest.
"Money means absolutely nothing to me......"It does when you have not got any....
Very important document that could well have been lost.
