Welcome to my third and final piece for my screen acting course with Terry McMahon. This piece is a unique adaptation of my song "Honeymoon," which I wrote in 2014 for my then-boyfriend/DJ, now husband and collaborator. Inspired by my deep faith and walk with Christ, this adaptation draws initial inspiration from the Song of Solomon, also known as Song of Songs, situated between Ecclesiastes and Isaiah in the Old Testament of the Bible. Originally considering a portrayal of the lover and beloved, King Solomon and the Shulamite woman, I chose instead to adapt my song "Honeymoon" to suit that theme and concept. Song of Songs is also a picture of the love between God and his church, Christ and his bride. In this performance, I've transformed my song into a duologue, incorporating objects (props) of significance to support objective correlatives and enhance the depth of the narrative. Phelim, my fellow actor, assists my navigation, exploration, and punctuation of internal and external obstacles, enriching the scene with his natural reactions, facial expressions, and gestures. His interactions provided a nuanced exploration of my character's responses, driving impulse, urgency, curiosity, and reflection, while supporting both the subtlety and fervour within the scene. This duologue was filmed on the day of mine and my husband's sixth engagement anniversary and serves as a gift to him. The performance underlines the idea that the story can always take a turn, objectives always shift and obstacles can always be overcome in a myriad of interesting ways. The struggle between the love of God and the love of the world is a central theme, reflected in this serenade to the lover and prayer to God, imploring Him (and the lover) in the early throes of love for assurance, promise, and steadfastness in the relationship. The beloved extols her Shepherd and King, marvelling at his wonders but acknowledging his humanity and the inevitability that he will fall short of this temporary picture of perfection she holds. Her song portrays the wondering if their love will end in marriage and whether the marriage bed will be sacred and blessed by God. Re. this duologue based on Steven Berkoff's play "Dog"; In this adaptation, I've transformed Berkoff's intense monologue into a duologue. Gemma plays the role of 'CAILÍN', originally 'ROY' in Berkoff's play, while I portray 'YOUNGONE', representing the equivalent of 'MAN'. My unique additions include biblical quotes primarily from Genesis, the first book of the Bible. I drew from the King James Version in order to honour Berkoff's use of verse and to explore the biblical knowledge, spiritual intelligence, and sense of piety of the newly adapted character. Additionally, I've incorporated references to Dublin City Council's housing legislation and tenancy rules concerning bandogs and bull breeds. This adds a layer reflecting what many would perceive as standard working-class ignorance. Similar to Berkoff's 'MAN', perceived as a toxic and obnoxious hooligan albeit charming, 'YOUNGONE' embodies deep knowledge of biblical, spiritual, social, and legislative matters, along with creative philosophies on the relationship between humanity and the natural world. Reflecting on Berkoff's introduction to his 1993 play in 'Steven Berkoff: Plays 2' (Faber and Faber Ltd, 1993), "Curiously, his beliefs are not vague or confused, but are held with dedication and conviction, which makes him in a way repulsively ATTRACTIVE."

Not sure why I got this recommended but I could see her going places

she look exactly like max from stranger things

the acting is great but its too drawn out and planned, its all like it should be but slimply each emotion takes too much time and feels like it transitions to one another too often, i think we humans are more sporadic than that, also the cheese dialog was bad, acting was good but the dialog was "cheesy", the pacing is off too, the slight body movments and end were great, definitly talented. i have no idea how i got here but good luck
