I removed the factory cooler in the fender where it receives no airflow and added a more efficient B&M heavy duty cooler to the face of the condenser. The radiator fans will pull cool air through the transmission cooler regardless of vehicle speed. A Very efficient cooling mod.

I have a grey CZ 457 LRP and I want to paint it black I’m just worried it’ll Ruin it that’s why I’m here
Years later, this saved me! Thank you so much. My dad’s handicap placard was in the glove box and you saved me from breaking my whole glovebox.
Great. This will help. Thank you!
If I had to do it again, I would look at using 3/8” NiCop tubing. Its easily bent and will not rust. Plus it would help with cooling. Www.4lifetimelines.com
an oldie but goodie vid post. looking to do the same with yesterday's purchase. i assuming you don't you don't have the vehicle anymore, but what was the milage on yours?
It was at 160,000 IIRC.
Can't you hold the thing still?
Lucky me I found this great 🎥 👍
Ok so I saw this video and figured no way.. well I bought it and shot it and I was hitting low left from my original dual caliper release. I punched that pin out and filed a V into the middle of it and pushed it back in and shot it. It’s dead nuts with my dual caliper now. It added more range of motion like this guys modification.
Is this product still available? If so, where? Ty
How can you not burn or melt the rubber grips? I'
The paint will fail long before the rubber grip melts
Ok
What brand or part number of inline filter after the trans cooler did you use please? I want to do exact same setup to my rx300... Thank you for your time and have a great day! :)
Magnefine 3/8” nipples you will want the USA made steel version. there are many chinese knock offs which dont offer the same quality.
@@corvetguy64 thank you!!
This video tells me that the paint exists I just wish I knew what the paint's name was. 🧐
any autoparts store will have a vinyl and fabric spray paint available. I used duplicolor brand
Very good analysis of the problem. Thank you for the video.
Website: www.neu-trigger.com. Available for FN FS 2000 & All Steyr AUG variants / MSAR.. please Note: no long available on GUNBROKER
Looked like 3.5 to me?
You were looking at Kg.
So what if the tumbler itself is stuck? I literally can't even turn the key to move it to the unlocked position.
You post a video that doesn't show how you put the paint on to begin with and your talking about it after the application, thanks! Your video should be retitled "After I painted a rubber..." I didn't learn anything here!!!
Did you notice this is part 4? Maybe you should learn to read before you start bashing someone. Go to part 1 and the progressively to part 4, that’s how this works.
Where do you have your filter mounted on yours. Picture or video would be 👍 great
I mount the filter just before the radiator so the fluid is cleaned prior to entering the coolers.
PAY THE ELECTRICAL BILL
I install the filter before the cooler to keep it clean and free from deposits. Also lowers back pressure in the radiator cooler which are normally weak points in the circuit.
I'm not sure why exactly, but magnefine specifically states to put the filter on after the cooler unless the vehicle has less than like 1,000 miles on it.
the filter will add some resistance to fluid flow. this means there will be pressure inside the coolers when there wasnt any to begin with. but you can do it either way. its just my preference.
Should be after the radiator/cooler right?
That's what magnefine says to do unless your vehicle has under 1,000 miles on it.
Has this problem since been fixed? Anyone have a newer version?
It would be interesting to drop the pan, and see how much particulate matter has accumulated in the pan. Normally, you see a disturbingly large amount. It would be fun to see the difference in 30,000 miles, between having a magnefine filter, and not having one.
yes but most vehicles now use RTV instead of a gasket to seal the pan. and its a real challenge to get the pan and tranny completely free of oil. its not worth causing a future leak IMO.
Idiot
What size bearings are these, I want to replace mine with some upgraded bearings.
Thanks for showing the details of how that latch works. The push-in-the-middle trick didn't work. But because you showed and explained how it worked, I was able to get the metal tab back on the correct side of the black plastic. That fixed it! Thanks so much!
What happens after 1:24?
1:25
Just tried what u said to open my sienna glove box and it worked!! Thank You
Can you show a video on how your removing the grease from the bearing?
Keith Orlando just use a pin or needle or sharp knife and remove the rubber seals. They pop out. The use a degreaser to flush out the grease. I used compressed air to dry it completely afterwards.
DrCoffee you just pop the same seals back in or need to get new ones?
Your "push with your thumb" suggestion at the 2:45 mark did the trick. Thank you!! Surprised there aren't more thank yous on here.
Looks great and thank you for the video.Where did purchase the paint from.Thanks.
I have Hayden 679 after the radiator as well as a Magnefine filter to keep the oil clean, I use synthetic AISIN AFW+ on my FJ Cruiser and I change oil by flushing every 20000. Good analysis thanks.
Roy Roy there is no reason the ATF cant last 100,000 miles if kept below 170*F and filtered by a magnefine filter. Once I get the car setup, I flush every 100k miles. My Lexus IS300 2001 now has 290,000 miles and shifts like a new car would. It also cured the gear hunting my toyota sienna was having. The sienna has 100K miles and shifts perfectly. Its the microscopic metal bits that bind to the valves that impact the shifting. The pan filter cant solve that problem.
@@drcoffee5588 I followed this video from the link posted by you at T4R. When I put my OBD scanner on the FJ Cruiser the story began to unfold as I would do uphills, traffic and sand and off road. The temps would steadily climb up to 100 or 110 degrees centigrade and stay there for long. Aisin and ZF now are recommending earlier change with AISIN taking a much more aggressive stance of change at 20000 kilometers and thats what I follow. I don't mind as I have easy access to ATF flush machines and AISIN AFW+ synthetic oil is cheap and easily available. After I did installed the Hayden 679 cooler I noticed that the oil was light brown in color and my vehicle had only done 15000km and that was a shocker for something thats claimed to go lifetime. I decided to do a full flush and put a Magnefine filter in between the transmission cooler and transmission. Your test basically vindicates that decision. I fully concur with your stance at T4R and I too have faced the same ignorance about the issue of routing the cooler after the factory cooler and many have even argued about the need to do full oil change for the transmission and that too that early. My temps never touch over 176F no matter what.

Thanks for the video! I was noticing the same issues with mine. I did the same thing to fix it, but used a small 4-40 set screw and drilled and tapped the new hole in the side.
is this using a ventlock?
Thank you very much for this. I currently use the Silverback release and I love it but I thought I’d try a wrist strap and I narrowed it down and this was one of my choices. But I’ll keep looking.
The so call filter is a pick tube like and engine. Its moslty a screen not a filter.
This release is the best I’ve ever shot. My groups are SUPER tight shooting the Mathews Triax 70lb. I’ve noticed what you’re talking about and despite my groups, had removed the pin entirely and used the release without it and worked as a charm. Yeah the hook goes in too far but once it’s locked on the trigger, don’t press it in, works fine.
Did you drill threw the back or just pull out the pin I would rather have the hook go farther back as possible
Does the bumper prevent ram air from getting to the cooler?
no. there is no ram-air affect because there is no free path for air to flow. the AC cooler blocks passive airflow to the radiator. if you disconnect your fans and drive around with AC on you will quickly overheat your car. the fans are what cool the radiator, AC condenser and trans cooler if you mount it to the AC condenser. pulling air is 70% more efficient than pushing air over a cooler. let the cooling fans do their job.
Good idea, but hold the camera still, I was getting motion sickness!!
Excellent Vid, Dr. 64’Corvette! You r my Hero! That was a Super Big Help! Thank You So Much for Posting 😀. Just when I’m about to Give up on this Planet, Someone like YOU Comes Along !👍🏼
Thanks for the video. I'll give your solution a try. I have been in to my axles 4 times now and replaced the seals each time with a different brand but never the OEM as they don't sell it local. I even put extra snap rings as an 1/8" spacer to get the beveled edge further into the seal. I have just let them leak and they retain enough gear lube to keep going but my brakes and wheels look awful. Hopefully this works. This has been the best truck I have ever owned its a shame that this problem is so common.
The best thing to flush a transmission with is clean fluid
A depth filter doesn't discriminate. It removes all harmful contamination. When I started using depth filters on transmissions we had two choices for cars. The Frantz oil cleaner and. The Motor Guard oil cleaner. Now we have more choices. As a rule the first filter change the fluid is clean How people ever got the idea that pleated paper cleans any lubricant is a mistory to me.A magnet is almost useless. If you have a basic understanding of how a depth filter works you can install. a depth filter without restricting the oil flow.
I saw your old comments on BITOG 20yrs ago. How time flies, but the internet lives on in the past! LoL. Looks like Magnefine is Kaput as of 2019 & US distributor site went down also but still being sold on their Eby & Amz page.... probably tons of US inventory still left, not sure but I sent them a message. What other bypasses are available for small trans fluid capacity????? That old Motor Guard looks like a Parker/Racor style! I guess Frantz is the smallest & most popular TP style now...
May 2018 with 228,000 on the truck, 70,000 on the repair and no leaking of oil. But maybe we should give it another 100,000 just to be sure. 😂
Just curious if you use the new rubber clear fabric spray from Plasti Dip for rugs etc. How would this work over the regular paint to keep it from peeling?
There is a profesional Colorbond auto plastic auto interior paint company that has 148 colors. Also about 60 shades of Grey, such as Audi Greystone. Titanium. etc. and alot of others. These are PPG infused colors! They fuse to the polymers.
I just switched to this release and I am getting a terrible nock left tear. Is this what you experienced? Might this mod be a fix?
Jeremy Primus my first clue was having to adjust my sights to this release. I tried my kids bow and same thing. After careful study I realized the head does not clear the string cleanly. Now that its fixed, I love the release.

B&M 70264. This must have been an older model because I havent been able to find another unit like it. Its a dual pass which work better than the newer model.
Nice install, do you have the model number for the cooler you used.
the cooler is a B&M 70264 cooler with 3/8” ports
i got a question i wanna flush it completely my oil is super black like if the last owner never changed the oil in its life time its 2002 it started messing up i changed the filter and the oil from the carter but 3 months later it starting messing up again i wanna know how exactly do i flush that shit so my oil looks red when i removed it 3 months later the oil was super black im thinking it needs to throw in oil and keep flushing it out so i can put the new one in? help out bro
Umm
so the fluid will darken over time. the clutch packs are carbon material and as the gears shift, it removes a little of the carbon. the filter cleans most particles but very small bits will stay in suspension. they are so small that they pose no risk. its the big bit you want to catch. same for motor oil. it naturally darks with use.
