We started this channel with a few pieced together vacation videos in Feb of 2023 and figured out pretty quick that we really enjoy making content, and of course, traveling to see as much of this whole big world as we can too. We have a 2 door Jeep JK Rubicon featured in our current videos, and a new 392 Rubicon that we'll be overlanding with in upcoming videos, along with our self-built trailer (Frankenstein) that started it's life as a jet ski hauler. We hope to inspire others to get out and do all they can with what they have, and maybe we can teach a little along the way too. Most of our content will be overland related, because that's what we love. We do this because all the things we do now will one day be the things we used to do, and we want to make it count :)
TEXAS Merus Adventure Park Adventure
Hey y'all, thanks for looking in on us!! In this video, we're at Merus Adventure Park in the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo Texas. We have a couple of guests with us on this adventure, my lifelong friend and co-conspirator Trevor and his wife Kim. This is their first time off road, so we are taking it easy on this trip. Great video..... just watched your PINS video (on my list to visit very soon) and now this one. I was really intrigued by the "all 3 hanged" headstone so I had to look it up - the 2 Pvt's were prisoners of war and the other thought to help in hiding them and all 3 hanged by Confederates. PINS sucks. $25 bucks a night to camp there if you can find a spot. I went to the tent camping spot and the spots aren’t even numbered but you have to pay by putting your money in this collection thing. It’s bullshit.
Pins has 60 miles of beach to camp on. I’m not sure where you’re talking about, there’s no designated spots there either.

Greetings from Texas. I am a new subscriber and really enjoy y'alls videos. May I suggest a tool that is indispensable for overlanding? I purchased one for myself and it was worth every penny. It is a Makita 14" battery chainsaw. No mess no loud noise, and works every time. I also run a TJ Rubicon Jeep.

I don’t have the exact route we took, but if you look up car wash falls, Union School House and Bub’s Cabin online, I’ll bet you’ll find directions. I’ll work on a way to post our routes in the future. Appreciate that suggestion!

Ive been going to corpus for awhile been to the national seashore but this time I was able to go to the 4x4 only area. Great video put together real good. Whare did you get the trailer?
I built that one. Started with a jet ski trailer frame, beefed it up, added a box and a rack and a 3500 lb axle and springs. It’s getting a facelift as we speak and we’ll be posting some footage soon 😋

The last time we were at PINS was with a group of Jeep friends. We kept getting warned by others that they were expecting up to 50mph wind gusts....unfortunately they weren't wrong! Lol We closed up the RTT around 2:30am and crawled into the Gladiator to get some sleep!! We will be in Port A this weekend for Beach n Jeeps! 😎
That sounds awesome, wish I could be there this weekend too. Yeah, the wind can get pretty brutal down there for sure, and definitely one more thing to prepare for. In that case, prepare to sleep in the Jeep 🤪
@@saltandsweeteaoverland Since that trip to PINS we now take our sleep in overland square drop trailer! Makes the wind more tolerable. Lol We had to cook in our shower tent more than once at the beach! It was nice the last time (in April) we were at Port A and there was no wind at the ocean looked like a lake! 😀👍

I got a camera relocation kit for mine. Its ok, but not as nice as the factory camera. Mine came with the table (bought it used). Overall, im pleased with it.

Thanks!! Nah, it’s the salt you have to worry about. As long as you stop and rinse off the whole Jeep (especially underneath) you’ll be fine.
