Originally, I did have Bria & a bunch of convoke spells in the deck, but I decided to use Stormsplitter more aggressively. However, if I was to continue to play the deck I would probably add the convoke spells back but still skip Bria. Only because there's just not enough room in the deck.

I needed to make room for 2x Get Lost & 2x Warren Warleader. I wanted to run a full 4 copies of that card. I found the Regal Bunnicorn redundant & opted to keep the Burrowguard Mentor instead since it had trample.

It's still craftable. This deck only ran two I think because it was running the Fabled Passage & didn't want too many lands to enter tapped.

Yeah, part of it was being conservative, but also it was my inexperience with the card. I forgot at the time it gives all of your rats Toxic 1. I later realized I could have been more aggressive with that card. However, I think if I was to build the Rats deck again, I would go for more of a controlling version to really leverage Vren's triggered ability & play more into the Threshold mechanic.

😆 Yeah, I thought it was fitting for how viscous the rabbits deck can be. It's been forever since I've seen that movie. 😄

Yeah, Bats & Rabbits have been strong. I'm sure Mice would have something to say too. 🐭🐰🦇

Yeah, I got a little hasty there. The aggro player in me started to show. I definitely left myself open to a Zoetic Glyph.

Yeah, I agree. After playing the deck I mention there seems to be some tension between Vren & the rest of the deck. A control midrange style deck would seem like more of a natural fit. Hopefully, there will be more rats or some cards from Duskmourn that will work well with the rat strategy.

Yeah, I would normally use that, but the spacebar is a mapped hot key for my streaming software. That's a good suggestion though. 👍

Since it's an angel tribal deck, there were not too many new card from Bloomburrow that added to the deck. However, the following cards stood out & could fit in the deck nicely. Parting Gust Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest The Dragonhawk could replace Aurelia, the Law Above since they are the same mana value. For the sideboard, something similar to what the Boros Convoke deck runs could work for this deck.

Yeah, there are a few legends that could fit in the deck. Maha, Its Feathers Night Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest Hugs, Grisly Guardian The Infamous Cruelclaw You would probably have to up the copies of Inti to take advantage of the exile benefits the above legends offer. I think Duskmourn will have a broader range of legendary creatures. Bloomburrow seems to focus heavily on the creature type. For example, rabbits, mice, rats, etc...

Haha! Yeah, I think I got a little greedy casting that Breach the Multiverse. I was lucky to get the Quintorius & then find that adventure with the knights. Made for an interesting ending to say the least. Thanks for watching that. 😀

Yeah, I had Teferi in the deck off & on while testing the deck. He's definitely powerful. I ended up opting for the more controlling planeswalkers though in the final build. However, after Bloomburrow is released, I will probably revisit the deck & make adjustments with the new set. Probably work Farsight Ritual in as well.

Nice! Glad the budget version is working well for you. Yeah, some of the mythics took me awhile to acquire. Mainly the Big Score ones. I'm glad you're having fun with the deck type. 😀

Yeah, that card is awesome! I should have run at least one copy, but the deck doesn't really have a lot of tokens to spare. Those are the win cons for the deck. So, I opted for Impulse instead. But, I will most likely run it in a future version once Bloomburrow comes out. Good call though. 😄

Liliana targets the player to make them sacrifice their creature. With the metro angel on the battlefield I couldn't target them for that effect.

Yeah, that's a good card. I had thougt of using it but ultimately it didn't make the cut. I could use it in the future. It's a fun card for sure! 😄

Yeah, that's a good call. Scrollshift definitely would be perfect for this deck. I'd probably drop the Duress for the Scrollshift.

For sure! A well timed Temporary Lockdown can stop Convoke in its tracks. But I've also seen the deck bounce back & repopulate the board on the next turn to attack for lethal. You have to have the right cards to pull it off, but I've seen it happen. That's what makes Standard so fun right now. A control deck can beat the aggro deck, but the aggro deck can punch back just as hard. Can't wait to see what Bloomburrow has to offer. 😁

Yeah the splash blue for 1 drop does not make much sense, could just add yotian frontliner.

At the time I forgot you could tap artifacts. I think I was thinking it was like convoke, but I realized later I could use the artifacts as well.

That's a good question, I'm glad you asked. I actually did have it in the deck for quite awhile. I had 3x Railway Brawler & 2x Virtue of Loyalty. While testing I discovered those cards were too redundant for the deck. When I would reach the top of the curve with those cards I often found I would have big creatures on the battlefield but would run out of gas. Often times my opponents would topdeck removal or already have an answer in hand. I swapped those cards out for the 4 planeswalkers & 1 more copy of Tribute to the World Tree. This still allowed the deck to pump my creatures with counters plus gave me repeatable threats with the planswalkers & card draw as well. This allowed me to stay in the game longer.

They're not. I was curious after you brought it up. They have 8 different cards than my build. My deck is a little tighter & focused on pirates. It looks like they have a stronger artifact subtheme. It's a solid substitute. Originally I had it in the deck. Then I changed to Jitte because it's less to equip & it can keep your opponents creatures from blocking, aside from the counters & untapping a land. But, if you don't have a Jitte, I'd use Soulcleaver. 👍

I would say the key cards in the deck are Terror of the Peaks, Nahiri's Resolve, and Warleader's Call. Maybe Cavern of Souls after that. Then you can slowly build around those cards over time. The repeatable damage and blink effects are really what makes the deck work. So, if you were to wildcard anything, I would start with those cards first. 😄
