US, in particular, is lucky to have these features focusing on HIV/AIDS which makes the people more aware of it. Unlike here in the Philippines, they don't have that much of a feature regarding this subject. But I really can't blame our people here. Maybe the ongoing stigma has something to do with it. It just seemed like it was almost everyday and it was terrifying! It's a shame that NBC originally pulled this, but I'm glad they did finally air it. It's a very good story. For all of those who lived and fought issues with HIV, which often suffered greater perils, by the laxism of politicians, at State, Federal, and Presidential levels of Authority, I salute their bravery. Then, to those such as LGBT Canada in the Media, activists, support groups, many doctors, nurses, and even some amidst those who failed helping at first, but bounced back to give help, I applaud and feel grateful. I am Gay, and through the guidance of my soul, was able to help people with A.I.D.S. and many more of my HIV+ Friends. As many, I wished more could have been done quicker. The A.I.D.S. crisis is not over and we owe to help all, no matter what community they belong to. Love is Love, spread as much of it as you possibly can! Be and Stay Safe! Thank You!

In 1985 to take on a topic like this was a big thing, really. Prejudice against gay people has always been there, but as the AIDS epidemic came up, misinformation created even more bigotry against the gay community and against anyone who contracted the disease. But Robert Desiderio and his wife Judith Light have been tireless champions of the LGBTQ+ community, and of HIV/AIDS patients. Very glad to see this short film out there.

Wow Definitely good reporting. It’s both surprising and not to hear the way that boy talked about gays. It must be something you compartmentalize at a point. They just use a group of people as the butt of a joke, and never talk to them, or see them outside of that. So when it comes time to mess with someone, you shut down the empathy side and open up another side. Some way to keep distance with what you’re doing, while probably keeping things humorous, since the target is “laughable” to them. Imagine wasting your life doing that though… it’s sad
