This is so beautiful! How long did it take to walk down and how long was the climb back up? Going to Bali in a few months and I’m looking forward to heading to Nusa and going to the beach
Thank you! For the climb, I would estimate that it took 30 minutes to walk down and equally 30 minutes to climb back up. The reason why I would say that the walk down took equally as long as the climb back up is because going down you really need to pay attention of your surroundings to not fall, hence taking more time. However, I would say that the more difficult part would be the climb back up because it’s more physical. I definetly recommend visiting Nusa and I hope this helps

When exactly were you there on Tokashiki? Did the water at Aharen beach feel warm enough to swim? I will be going there I April and I’m wondering how warm it will be..
I was there in mid May and the water was warm enough to swim. I went to other more popular beaches in Okinawa and there was definetly a lot of people swimming, so do not worry!

any advice you got for future solo travellers to japan? going in december this year :D
Lucky you! I recommend firstly to get a SIM card at the airport. Having data and google maps is very important to not get lost since the train system is somewhat complicated at first but don’t worry you’ll get the hang of it. Secondly, you also need google translate since many locals do not understand English so when you need to ask a question, google maps definetly comes in handy. Lastly, I say just enjoy it. Japanese people are such kind and respectful people. It must be one of the safest places in the world, so go out and visit even if it’s late at night.

How much was the scooter rental and what do you need for the rental?
Excellent question! I believe it was around 4400 yen to rent the scooter for 4 hours and 300yen for the gas. Also you need an international drivers to be able to rent
