Why this language is different with dualingo? 😮
Duolingo teaches a "standardized" High Valyrian, like around Aegon's conquest of Westeros (if you know the books and timelines). They also teach by immersion. My content is first of its kind: a curriculum with categories and conjugations like you might learn in school. Duolingo is a GREAT resource though! Learners of High Valyrian have said if you want to get deep into the language, a mix of these videos and the Duolingo course together is a solid plan. :)
Do you have updated new lessons or is this it ? With house of the dragon there comes more words
I really want to! I'm in talks with the High Valyrian community and creator of the language to create new content... now all I need is time! ^_^;;
@@damienhalme im awaiting your video's, Im in possession mine High Valyrian dictionary with 370 words English to high valyrian and backwards and how to prnounce. And Duolingo helps too, but I need to know more words to create sentences. Its good to learn and Im dedicated to learn it as mine third language. Dutch 🇳🇱 and English 🇬🇧 are mine first were I grew up to

This language was created for the shows Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. People learn it to dive deeper into the storyline, or to practice an exciting new language with friends. :)

I thank the seven gods this videos exist, duolingo totally didn't give me these explanations and therefore wasn't enough to properly learn how to actually speak the language. Hope the House of the Dragon brings people into High Valyrian

I'm not learning this language but i want to help in the algorithm so here's a comment :)
This is [a] Sindarin and [b] by no means agglutinative. Arwen says: Niin o Chithaeglir, lasto beth dhaer. Rimmo niin Bruinen dan in Ulaer. Citing the lexical forms of those words should prove that this language could not be further from agglutinative: Neen - water O - from Hithaeglir - Misty Mountains lasta - hear Peeth - word Daer - great Another example: the declaration of dagor (battle) is dagor (a battle), i dhagor (the battle), degyr (battles), i ndegyr (the battles). The Elvish language that is indeed more on the agglutinative side of the spectrum is Quenya but I would say that High Valyrian shows those features in a comparable degree, cf. azanty-r-i man-coll-pl -> armies

I'm trying to find out how to pronounce certain words and am getting nowhere! I can find the spelling but not how to pronounce them and it's driving me crazy!
I suggest to try out the High Valyrian course on Duolingo. Then you will learn the pronunciation and some of the grammar :)

Hey! I don't know whether you're still reading these comment sections but in case you are, I just wanted to tell you how much your lessons have helped me throughout the past few years. I've been trying to learn High Valyrian since 2017 and if it weren't for your videos, I wouldn't have known where to start. Anyway, I hope you're alright and that one day you may continue with this series. (I know you probably won't, but a girl can dream, right?) You seem like such a funny guy and your lessons are all really entertaining and helpful. Once again, thank you for making these videos! :)

I saw that you can learn this language on duolingo but I had no clue what it is lol
Can you explain more in depth but more in the easier kind of way? I watched it a couple of times and i still can't remember the rules or the pronunciations. And moreover, can you write down the rules/equations for each of the topics you talk about? I am more of a math person and this is giving me headaches, lol.
