Got a quote from the local rv dealer. 8 to $10,000.00 to do the same. Glad i found your video, cause I'll be doing it myself. Thanks

I would have replaced the entire floorboard if I went to all that trouble.

I have tall jack stands left over from replacing the decking in the toy hauler section. I've been thinking about how to replace the decking in both of my slides from the inside. Watching has given me do's and don't's. Thanks for taking the plunge for us.

Easier to use 2 layers of 1/2" plywood. Cut the bottom layers to fit slide, then layer top pieces over joints on the bottom wood with adhesive glue. Let dry, then trim whole floor to fit the slide exactly. Then you have a whole new one piece floor.

Agreed. But you laminate 3/8 sheets to get 3/4. You have 4 pieces 2 of them roughly 2/3 and 2 of them 1/3. Glue and screw. Trim to exact size.

How about how to replace a small section due to mold and rot, and not the whole slideout floor. How do you secure the piece and what do you spray or use underneath outside for protection?

Good job. You have given me some good ideas and show me what you can get for the underlayment. If you were doing it again, would you bring it in from the inside like you did, or bring it up from underneath?

I just finished replacing my slide. And it was more involved because my RV is older, 2001 Prowler. It has a sled with a deck board that gets bolted to the carriage. And my walls also needed attention too; I appreciate your video, because it shows some other tricks of the trade I may need some day. I did have some help to get her back together, but I tore all the bad out alone. I’m 74 year old lady, maybe too foolish to realize my limitations. It wasn’t a piece of cake, for sure. Your repair is solid! I like it! Thanks!

Fabric $48, T bars $40, plywood ? Not sure. Probably around $80. I don't know exactly how long it took because I worked in small increments. Maybe 8 hours?

That “T bar” piece I need for my floor. But a T bar is not what it’s called. So I can’t find it anywhere because I don’t know the name of it. Can you please let me know what the actual name is? Or reply with a link to the item?
