Easiest mission in the game. Got an A rank by using Rosie with demolition boost and killed the car in one round. Possition Rosie at the right top corner and kill the enemy scout on your first action. Kill the targed on the 2nd or 3rd action with demolition boost (rank 8 lancer order) and you get it in your first round.

Pretty good strategy overall, but on NG+ I did it a little different and finished on the 3rd turn. Turn 1: Did all the same, but right at the end, I turned a bit more to protect the treads. Don't turn too far and leave the radiator open for the Lancer behind. Turn 2: Same path, just don't turn the tank around to fire. The turret will rotate and the others can't fire at you when you're aiming. Reduces a bit of damage taken. Turn 3: don't use the tank. Send one shocktrooper left to take care of any soldiers that way (I only had 1 in the grass). Send the right shocktrooper right. Mine killed the Lancer on the enemy turn due to a good gun. You may need a bit of luck and save restarts to keep this one alive from sniper and Lancer fire until this point. After Lancer is gone, send Shocktrooper through the grass and take out anyone left and make your way to the Lancer hiding in front of the tank and take him out. This should leave just the sniper. You may be tempted to use the Shocktrooper, but they're too far. Use your scout with the last CP and they will almost make it right up to the sniper and should be an easy kill.

Wow. Thanks for the video. Had to look up this fight as I was really struggling to beat it; was using snipers in the beginning and took the back route near the last flag but kept getting caught up on the mines. This strategy is much better :)

my strategy was use marina and dallas marina kill everything with a headshot while dallas gave her ammo and repair the tank meanwhile rosie defeated the hidden enemies in the east and welkin the ones on the northwest then i hide largo in the grass waiting for the tanks to came near him

Thank you, this worked for me in the PC version. Only one Scout wasn't killed by interception fire by the tank, but instead a Lancer was killed that way. So I used the CP you used to kill the Lancer with Edy to kill the remaining Scout. Also, it's nice to see this quality in video back from 2013 (with only the PS3 version being released).

Problem here though is that if you lose the treads for Eidelweisse the strategy goes to hell immediately.

It doesn't really matter, but you can kill the enemy ace Sytreet the Lynx with Welkin's first move if you shoot him while running by the wooden wall when you pass the first scout. gives the weapon drop and a little bonus for killing him, and doesn't change the run at all.

You know, you could mention what level your troops are or what upgrades you have, because despite having the same HP as your first lancer in 5th minute, I just couldn't survive the tank's fire and had to issue a defense order. Other than that, thanks for the videos, I've seen a bunch of other poeple's and yours are definitely the best!

Great strategy, works with any lancer who has Super Tank Destroyer and Ammo Refill. Lancers need to be lvl 18 or so and have all potentials to get ammo refill I think.

this episode never triggered for me, with the latest PC version, with all DLC. It's supposed to trigger between the end of ch4 and the main battle of ch5, but it never does.

I came only to see where the hell that bomb was. I was at the mark with the Edelweiss and the train was in the middle, but for the life of me I couldn't find the bomb. And it was the end of the turn, so I was afraid to experiment and let the train move in case I failed.

... And I can't do this because I don't have Caution. Damn it.
