He wasn’t a bust not did he get suspended. Barcelona was punished for violations in signing youth players. Thus Lee and the other youth players were released and couldn’t return to La Liga until they turned 18. Obviously 6 yrs without the proper training players like Messi benefited from is what derailed his development.
