Future Cities Hackathon Highlights 2023

Esri South Africa, Tshimologong Precinct and Gauteng Provincial Government launch the Future Cities Hackathon | Creating Sustainable Cities to help South African cities find solutions to enhance, plan and improve service delivery. The winning solution earned R 30 000 to contribute towards academic fees or hardware. Second and third places were worth R10 000 and R5 000 respectively.

I'm Kenya currently undertaking Geospatial and geo informatics engineering. I do data science as a side course. Being a data scientist in geospatial field is my biggest dream. Are there online classes offered or even scholarship opportunities you know of?

Excellent explanation Mr Martin. The final question in summary: "Can Google Earth do that?" and the answer: "Most definitely not!". The value of GIS to me is, it allows for informed decision making leading to Adaptive Management.
Oh my God this is axactly what i would like to do. i did Maths, Physics and Geography at school. i then decided to do Bsc Computer Science and Informatics in tertiary and I took geography as my elective because it has always been my favourite subject since hogh school. This is the kind of career i want tp pursue. i will start doing your online causes and hopefully one day i will be able tp work for Esri. I am so excited.
