If they removed the video record button, I wouldn't even notice. For photography full frame all the way. Ergonomics on the 6000 series is about the worst out there. The A7 II feels just as familiar as my A7R III only lighter and a little more compact. I'm just sayin...

Yo bro so I learned that if you close the screen (which I did to save battery) it stops the timelapse, do you know any way around this. Makes no sense that you arent able to record without the screen being on given that drains so much battery. Let me know and thx in advance.

Great review, the only thing I don't see in these reviews is how both cameras handle flash photography. The shutter speed of the a7 cii is 1/4000 vs the a7iv 1/8000. I want to see real life examples of both.

Nice video. I'm surprised at how green and lush it is at lower elevations. Also, it looks like it's relatively easy to do from Colorado Springs without having your own vehicle.

Really enjoyed the video! I’m curious if there was water at Barr Camp? I know you mentioned coffee and Gatorade but was there a place to fill bottles/bladders? We are headed to this hike next week and trying to plan if there are water sources or if we need to start the hike with all our water supplies. Thanks for posting this so I could see conditions. Good video and have to agree with the majority of what you've said... like you - I switched from Canon (a 5DS) to Sony (A7R III) - the main reasons I swapped was wanting to move onto mirrorless and benefit from a lot of the modern features that mirrorless introduced - as well as a lighter model to lug around.. being spoiled with a 50MP sensor on the 5DS - I have a limited pool of alternatives to pick from (once you've had a large MP camera and have benefitted in post from large crops without losing detail - it's impossible to go back!! LOL!) - the Sony A7RIII performance is very good in this regard - it has a much better dynamic range than the 5DS and is a far better performer over a larger ISO range as well (especially in low light). Can't see me switching or 'upgrading' again..

. I shoot with a phone and mine is 4K down to 1080P, not bad at all. Infact , people who watch my videos say it looks good, yes it's not UHD, but come on, it's not like 1080P is a, terable resolution. Except for some phones and $100 cameras from unknown brands, 1080P there looks 720P lol

First off all, great Channel! Definetly worth a new sub ^^ I have been shooting a Canon 70d for a few Years now und would really like to transition to Fullframe Mirrorless. Sony is high in stales for me, because i really like the Formfactor of the 6000 series for B-Roll, BTS an Travel, so a 7 modle would be great for transition. I found one use with only 3.400 Clicks, inkluding two extra Batteries and the Kit Lens for 350€ (ca. 375$). Its in as new condition. Do you think this is worth the money? Since corona im a a thight budget und this offer would exatly scratch my upper Limit :) Thanks in Advance, Retep! :)

I have both cameras and in practice I cannot see any difference in AF performance, the viewfinder is much better in the RIII and the most important thing (in addition to a better construction) is that the 42 Mp allow better use of the APS -C mode. I often use the III with vintage lenses, many of them "prefer" 24 Mp.

Wait hold on. You're 30fps and 1/80 shutter speed isn't exactly following the double thing I keep reading about. I'm a total beginner so excuse the dumb question. How come it works when you do 30fps and 1/80? Shouldn't you be doing 1/60?
