I just got the new Sladder climbing system. Check out my climb and initial thoughts. I kept calling the stirrups "spurs." Please use the terms interchangably. I am a paying customer. This is an excellent product. More videos to come. Check out the sladder@ www.grayskwereloutdoors.com.

Great review. I've been onesticking for a while, until my rope came free from my cam cleat. Luckily I was tied up correctly and just ended up with some bad scratches and a few bruises. I had everything hooked up correctly, but stepping on the top of my stick provided just enough side to side movement to pop my rope out of the cleat. 25' up never been more scared. Never gonna count on that cam cleat again. Probably happens more that most people admit. This seems like a much safer way to climb..Thanks for your video.

Great video, I switch from a one stick to this last season. Love it. One thing you may want to try that I started doing is, when I reach hunting height I climb to the top of the stirrups set my platform at hunting height. I then put the Sladder on the opposite side of the tree at the same level as the platform. I can then utilize the 2 stirrups like ring steps.

The issue with one sticks is that you are stuck with that platform. You have to pay a butt ton of money to try different one sticks with different platforms. You can pair the Sladder with a ROS, smaller platform, larger platform. It's more versatile. That was one of the major selling points for me. Being comfortable for hours in the tree is way more important that the short time it takes to climb.

And no way man. I can climb 20+ feet up a tree in less than.5 minutes, having exerted much less energy than a climber. And having only carried 5 lbs lbs of gear into the woods, as opposed to your 20-30 lb climber. Your sweating before you even get to the tree. If hunting off the ground, the only thing easier/ lighter than saddle hunting are permanent positions, ladder stands, etc.
