If you get invited to a birthday party where there is a cake balloons, drinks on the table then everything is free & already paid for. If your going out clubing, to a restaurant or a bar to celebrate someone birthday & where your ordering your own food & drinks then your pay for your order. Its just common sense. When has anyone been able to pay for 5 of there friends & who ever they bring as a plus 1. They dont get extra pay from there job o. There birthday. People will try to make up all these silly rules to justify getting a free drink & meal. Really & truly its just bad taste & no class. You should always expect to pay for what you ordered plus tip or contribution to the night.
