The deck is not slippery at all. I only fish on it standing and I feel very stable (I am 6ft and 200lb for reference). I could not recommend this solo skiff enough, I am super happy with it! Hey @Markchance08. I was between this one and the SOLO skiff before purchasing. Although I haven't tried the SOLO, my experience with this one has been a very good one. In regards to a wet ride, when the water is calm and winds are below 10mph, I have stayed dry. This week I was on it when the winds were 20mph and I am not going to lie, i was soaked lol! I would reccommend it, especially for the price, it is a great bang for the buck. I have no regrets. Thanks for watching Mark!

Does one need a permit to stay overnight and do this?

Hey @Z33Garage, yes you do a need a permit to camp out on the lagoon. I have attached a link below where you can get one. It is not the cheapest but worth it for sure. Thanks for watching and hope you get out there! www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/251854

After watching your video, I decided to go here. I went with a couple of friends and stayed at site number 3. We got completely destroyed by Noseeums. I never going back that was horrible lol.

@penguin36, for what it is worth, I did mention the noseeums a few times 😄. I agree they can be brutal. I try to avoid the summer months camping here because of them. Hopefully it does not derail you from getting back out there or somewhere else. Thanks for watching and best of luck next time. Appreciate you watching!

You just have to go at the right time of year. Plan accordingly.

Nice video. My wife and I also live in (West) central FL and just returned from a full week in NE GA. We traveled out Sandy Ford Rd to the Chattooga river, and another day out Tallulah River Rd to Tate City. Just like you and your brother in law, we love off-road exploring, AND eating in the beautiful NE Ga mountains. Thanks so much for posting this.

The river crossing at the beginning of the video is off of Earls Ford rd and that’s not the Chattahoochee River, that’s the Chatooga river in Clayton Georgia.
