That was a lot of freaking out! I enjoyed the Dune movies, they make some choices that reduce the psychedelic and spiritual elements of the books and focus more on the environmental and political aspects which kinda makes sense in today's world. I enjoy the books would however recommend to only reading the ones that were written by Frank Herbert, the stuff his son has been publishing is very different and far worse. It is totally fine to not finish a book written by Ayn Rand, it shows a good sense of self-preservation. Hope your reading and watching goes well and applaud the idea of including more other media in your content. I'm wary of recommending books as my tastes are rather weird all over the place but some books that stood out for me so far this year were "A Fine And Private Place" by Peter S. Beagle as well as his new one "I'm Afraid You've Got Dragons", Navola by Paolo Bacigalupi which is technically epic fantasy but feels more like a historical novel set in renaissance Florence and the Terra Ignota series by Ada Palmer which is science-fiction with far too many references to renaissance and enlightenment philosophy for any sane person and the fact I picked up on most of them says a lot of troubling things about me. Books that are coming out later this year and that I have high hopes for are Blackheart Man by Nalo Hopkinson, a caribean fantasy that I expect to be just as good as all of Hopkinson's books and Six Lives by Lavie Tidhar, a collection of connected crime stories that cover the last 200 years. There's probably more but I have a Decameron to get back to...

I am watching while eating dinner after work and I looooove your relaxing vlogs <3 I am so happy you like Six of Crows, hope the characters will grow on you (but if it the book is boring to you please don't force yourself to read it). Also, the Happy Place Emily Henry is actually pretty sad (I haven't read it, but my friend was ugly crying reading) so this may be not the best first book od her to read - I personally really liked Book Lovers, it was funny and light romance. PS: I am from Poland and now we have a full summer. It is super hot (in Polish standards, so like 30 degrees) and stormy.

Something I could never get use to is book harry having green eyes because I can’t imagine movie Harry with them at all 😂 and idk if it’s because I transitioned from movie to book but I was shocked when I first found out when I read the first book 🤭 I also feel like its silly to say but I love the sorting hat song in the book we were robbed 😭 but my favorite part is when dumbledore gives out the points and says the speech about standing up to enemies/friends 🥹 and Neville brings it home for the team 🥹 I just love the way that friendship is shown you can really feel that magic between them. Glad you enjoyed it, it’s truly a classic 🤌🏾 and looking forward to you reading the other ones ✨

I still haven't even taken a driving test, much less gotten my license. 😅 I don't like cars, so I wish I never had to get one, but living in a small town where public transport is nonexistent doesn't give me any options until I can afford to move.
