A Crookes radiometer is a glass cylinder with evacuated air, inside of which there is an impeller, the blades of which are mirrored on one side and blackened on the other. Under the influence of light or infrared radiation, this impeller begins to rotate with the mirror side of the blades forward. We're looking into why this happens. The hand helicopter is a toy consisting of a propeller and a stick. When launched, it flies up several meters. Surprisingly, the propeller thrust during such a launch remains almost constant, although its rotation speed decreases several times. This is due to the adjustment of the angle of attack to compensate for the reduction in rotation speed. Key words: air propeller, angle of attack, aerod...

      Bernoulli explained this a long time ago. If an incompressible fluid flows out, then the flow velocity and pressure are related by the relation: p+ro*v^2/2 = const (constant) The conclusion is simple: the more the hose is pinched, the farther the jet flies.

    By slowly pressing a box internal pressure would rise and the walls of box would heat up. Box would remain pressed in position that force heat of walls and heat of walls would be collected for electric energy production or for heating , keeping the box in pressed position would be done whit some closed brackets so no input of energy for keeping the box pressed so all its heat would be used to produce output of energy

    Why do we see the moment of stability between the flipping of rotation axis? What makes it at one time stable and a second after "unstable"? And why do we see this pause under microgravity conditions? I think that our understanding of gravity is incomplete. We fail to describe the interaction between the gravity forces of a body and its rotation - with regards to other bodies. I believe the relation between gravity forces and rotation are very similar to those between magnetic forces and electricity. Just as movement or rotation of a magnetic body generates electric current within a nearby object, known as Eddy currents, which, in turn, create forces which work against the rotation or movement of the magnetic body, I believe that gravity and rotation behave just like this: the rotation of a heavy body generates a gravitational field which, in interaction with a close and heavier body (the spaceship) generates a force which works on the edges with less momentum of the body, causing them to start rotating in a surface vertical to that of the main rotation. I believe that gravity force generates rotation of the bodies, and that the rotation decreases the impact of gravity; much like electrostatic tension pulls negatively charged bodies closer, thus decreasing the tension.

    Great explanation! The cup is 10 cm tall (0.1 meters) and the molecule's mean free path is 0.1 microns (0.1 × 10^-6 meters). Number of Collisions: Molecule makes ~1,000,000 collisions on average before escaping. Distance Covered: It covers approx. 0.1 meters (10 cm) in total distance. Thanks for the clear breakdown! hope those were hiccups, stay healthy.

    This video is still WRONG. Please make corrections or remove it. .. The statements about Bernoulli's Principle are correct, but the demonstrations are very poor. The balls, spoon and funnel are a result of the Coanda effect. . The tube inserted into the wall of the neck is protruding into the flow (seen at time 2:57) This causes the air to curve around the end and sides of the tube. This curved flow is the cause of the lowered pressure. This will work with no pipe around it; just the air blowing across the vertical tube. .. To correctly measure the static pressure inside your narrow neck, the end of hat tube MUST be flush with the inside surface. .. At time 4:51 we see that the two pressure sensing tubes appear to be more like flush, but it is difficult to see clearly. For that to truly sense the static pressures, there must be NOTHING protruding into and disturbing the flow. . . . . This shows the proper way to measure static pressure within a flow: Weltner Direct link: still valid on June 24 224: “Misinterpretations of Bernoulli's Law by Klaus Weltner, University of Frankfurt (G)” FIG 3 Static Probe: www.prirodopolis.hr/Bernoulli-Coanda%20Demo_files/Misinterpretations%20of%20Bernoullis%20Law.pdf

    But isn't it more like the pressure of the fluid of the restricted section increases, while the pressure exerted by the fluid on its containment decreases? If you observe this principle in water coming out of a pressure washer, then the smaller and tighter stream exerts more force on any object it encounters. The pressure within the restricted stream of water is higher and it creates a low pressure boundary of air surrounding it.

    • @Observ45er
      @Observ45er Před 28 dny

      No, Chris. Your simplified thinking has led you astray. . As the fluid flows TOWARD the inward sloping wall sections, the flow is TOWARD those walls and, therefore pushing more on them. It is similar to a wind that pushes more as it tries to approach a surface or blow you down. . Then, a fundamental fact of fluids is that pressure at any given point pushes outward in ALL directions. . That pressure against the wall is also eithin the fluid and it 'communicates' both inward and backwards, upstream and increases the pressure in the FAT section on the left. >>The reduction in diameter CAUSES the UP-STREAM pressure to increase.!.<< . Now, think of the narrow section as an outlet of a pressurized tank. The higher pressure in the fat section accelerates the fluid into the narrow section. This is Newton's force causing acceleration of mass. . It is a fact that for fluid to accelerate, there must be a pressure difference between two locations {called a pressure gradient} and the higher pressure pushes more, thus accelerating air in between, toward the lower pressure. . It is identical to a brick with TWO opposing forces on it. If one of those opposing forces is larger, the NET force is toward the lesser force and the brick accelerates toward the lesser force. . Fluids are the same.!. . . . . . The "pressure" of the pressure washer is caused by the INERTIA of that very fast stream of water, SLAMMING into the surface!. It is no different than if I run into you. My Mass has inertia that slams into you. . That is called "Stagnation Pressure" because the flow stops at the surface and is stagnant against the surface . At that point, all the kinetic energy in that mass-low, gets converted to pressure at the surface. This is CAUSED by AIR'S INERTIA.!. . {{By the way, the very same thing happens if the surface 'slams' into stationary air. The Air's Inertia resists being accelerated by the moving surface and that causes a pressure increase at the surface that is also within the air. That is the same as me running into you and YOUR mass / Inertia resists my push and your inertias is causing that increase in pressure on you. SAME PHYSICS. . HOWEVER, When I am running, I exert NO extra pressure on things I pass by and a jet of water or air is the same. . The pressure INSIDE that jet is called "Static Pressure". That is the pressure you would measure if you were inside it AND traveling along with it. That is called it's "Static Pressure". . . . A "FAST" stream of air, or water, exiting a hose is at the SAME internal, static pressure as the stationary atmosphere around it, no matter what some really dumb PhDs say in their misleading You Tube videos.!. . We measure this daily in the aerodynamics industry. <-- ABSOLUTELY TRUE!! . To see how to CORRECTLY measure the internal, static pressure of moving air, See Weltner's paper describing the industry standard static pressure probe, link below. . That water out of the pressure washer has the SAME static pressure as the stationary atmosphere around it! The higher pressure inside the hose is what pushes / accelerates it out into the now RELATIVLY lower atmospheric pressure. Weltner Direct link:June 24 224: “Misinterpretations of Bernoulli's Law by Klaus Weltner, University of Frankfurt (G)” FIG 3 Static Probe: www.prirodopolis.hr/Bernoulli-Coanda%20Demo_files/Misinterpretations%20of%20Bernoullis%20Law.pdf . I simply cannot understand why this simple physics illudes so many supposedly intelligent folks. . . . .
