Ever since I injured my back 20 years ago, every time I have to go to the ER for unrelated stuff and they want to give me pain meds, they think I'm a drug seeker because I know what works, what doesn't and what I'm allergic to! Percocet works, vicoden makes me high with no pain relief and morphine (their favorite to give) I'm allergic to! I discovered I was allergic when I got an iv dose of morphine and watched the red rash run up my arm!

I'm allergic to every opioid except tramadol. They all make me vomit violently, and none even get me high 😭🤬

Last time I went to the ER, I did legitimately trip. Bc I was nearly blind drunk. Which I never lied about. Fortunately I was not seriously injured, just sprained my elbow and got a bit of road-rash. I still went to the ER though bc I was worried I had maybe broken my arm and wasn’t sure. The biggest downfall of the evening actually was that I broke my glasses and had to get a new pair.

I used to go for runs whilst wearing jeans, never tripped though.

Gave me flashbacks to my first ED job…I didn’t understand why they tied the blue patient down first until, HE TURNED INTO THE INCREDIBLE HULK😮

My daughter once face planted her bed frame after climbing out of bed to turn the light off and tripping on her way back. They kept asking us the same thing, "How did you do it?" As if they didn't believe she could have hurt herself in this way. Well, she did. She ended up with a broken nose and a concussion. I think they were trying to make sure she wasn't being abused, which is fair enough. But there's only so many ways to say that you tripped in the dark because you were half asleep

Yyyeeeaaah my resting rate is 42 and I’m not that athletic. Just a genetic thing; my mom and both my kids have low rates too.

But I really did trip! My cat ran under my feet and I fell and hit my head on a door frame. I'm on blood thinners, so need to get a cat scan for head injuries, to make sure I don't have internal brain bleeding. Ironically, my cats did give me a preliminary cat scan while I was lying on the floor. Their diagnosis: I wasn't getting their treats fast enough.
