Audi e-tron e foil by Aerofoils Review [Is this the right efoil for you?] #efoil
So are we seeing the same performance with air pro as the pro? Are there any catches?
No, it's not the same performance, as with the Flite Board pro (67l) board. It sticks a bit harder to the water (a bit, and much less than the old large flite Air board) and the size of the board makes it a bit less playful. More comparable to the Fliteboard (100l) board. It's great for the price, transport, and durability - as the air bladder protects the board ( and you if you fall on the board). The hard boards will properly always be better, but that does not make this a bad choice. You get a Fliteboard for a good price, and you can always upgrade the board later, but keep the mast etc.
I thought the GTX limited would be on here
Thanks for the recommendation.
How fast does it go?
How about including a spare battery ? 45 minutes run time is pretty short for something that will be super popular…
@TerrySylvester-ip9on The 45 minutes is with the Nano battery. It weighs 13.7 lbs vs the Flitecell Sport, which weights 10 more pounds but provides "up to" 90 minutes of flight time. We can vouch for the amazing portability of the Air with the Nano, but that obviously comes with a compromise on time as you point out.
unsinkable. and when u pick up your new Grady they tell u it can sink and no boat is unsinkable
"Unsinkable" is usually used when solid foam is poured into the hull with enough buoyancy to offset the boat's weight.
The explanation in this video seems biased and doesn't appear to provide accurate information. How can you say other products have good reviews when Lift is the best of the best? You haven't even properly listed the riding time and charging time for Lift.
Different battery options for each set mean a lot of specs to dish out. Lift is definitely one of the best but our experience includes people who actually love the Flite and wouldn't go for anything else, those that have a Vinga and love it because it uses the same battery as their Ravik, those that think it doesn't get any better than Aerofoils. There are also a few people I know who have the Flyer Plus and feel more comfortable on that after trying the others listed here. It seems Lift has the community with the most vociferous riders, on the other hand. Thanks for the comment.
Does anyone know Roughly what the insurance is on these machines...ROUGHLY
I've heard of someone getting a PWC liability policy attached to their Fliteboard for $150 a year. I've also heard of a lot people getting turned down in some states cause the agent doesn't know how to classify efoils.
It’s too bad that you are not really pushing the test on the time per board. Even your article gives a vague “up to 2h” for most boards which seem like a constructor feedback and not a real life test. This is certainly one of the main criteria for me and certainly plenty of other people. Speed test and ride quality would also be great to have a rating on.
I hear you, and we will try to update the articles with the data we have. We did the ride time test, but often we got different results, as factors like current, waves, and so on changed from test to test. We didn't do a speed test, as we didn't(and still don't) see top speed as a real factor when deciding between efoils to buy. Quality of riding, ride time, ease of set-up, etc. are much more important factors to look at.
Lift is better all around premium brand. Flite rides nose up, you need to figure out what shim to use to level it out. And makes a loud whining noise. Lift 4 pro is the best of the best
Lift 4 Pro is pretty awesome and there is a bit of nose up on the Flite which is useful on sharp turns, but the loud whining noise I don't recognize. Are you talking about the Fliteboard Pro?
@@DIVEindotcom-boating all of the flites make loud whining noises. It’s hard to ride next to them. And I never have issue making hard turns on the lift. They ride level to the water which is a great feeling. Way better than riding captain Morgan style
Weird list
We've chosen from different categories. Fishing, supercharged, touring, beginner/affordable, etc. What would you have included/omitted?
Great family day boat with a little fishing. Can’t go wrong with a Grady!
Great service after purchase too.
Boat is great engine is horrible. My first trip out my motor failed on the lake within 10 minutes of going out. I had to be rescued by the fire department. I traded in for a traditional Mercury 200.
What problem did you have with it? Never run one but I know they're based of the i3 evinrude G2s which were actually extremely reliable and best in class to this day
We've gotten the impression that it's pretty reliable, based on anecdotal figures and in forums. Interesting. What happened to your motor? Was it one or both?
Lower unit needed to be replaced. It wasn’t just my boat numerous others with the Rotax started to come to the dealership to be fixed. I called another dealership to try and trade my boat in. The owner said he wouldn’t take a trade with the Rotax engine. So who ever buys a boat that has the rotax now you have to be worried about ever selling it or trading it in.
@@pauldecoste9368 The lower unit of all things? I know the engine block itself is rock solid... seems like Rotax could make the lower unit reliable. It's technology that hasn't changed for a century...
"Motor failed" leaves a lot to the imagination. Was it anything particular? block, prop, etc. I've been looking at the Sea-doo pontoon......... Still on the fence.
I can't hear the awesome music with you talking over it constantly
@t0msie I was trying to match the rhythm of the music rather than overpower it. Sorry:)
I could use this!
It's amazing how much boat you get in this package. If you're fishing in coastal waters and rivers, you'd love it.
How's the Air vs the Pro?
Very noticeable off the bat is the during the launching phase. The Pro will glide through the water until lift-off. The Air is less streamlined, it floats better and is easier to start out on.
WOW! Looks amazing. What's the price of this one?
It's currently priced at $19000
Stoked!!
So are we!
Lame… No conclusion, no real opinion, no real perspective… No overall winner, no best bang for your buck, no best value, no best for bigger riders or smaller riders… What you did manage to do is waste a lot of time. If you are going to do a comparison, do compare them, this isn’t a promo for each board… We can get promo videos from the makers… This was lame.
We tried these and are giving you a general confirmation of what the makers are presenting, for the most part. The reality is, Tim, that without knowing your profile, there's just not a silver bullet platform that hits the mark for everyone. The market is split into people who wanna buy one for themselves and rental outfits that want something for a wide range of riders. If you see our other video about the best beginner board, there are also caveats about buying a board EXCLUSIVELY and ONLY for big riders. If you watch this video you'll also see that each efoil has wing and mast options that change the profile. And many brands are copying each other too. So, what's your profile, what do you want? Let us know and we can give you some specific suggestions.
He gave 10 opinions, as there are 10 categories...Maybe you should make your own comparison video.
HO High Output
This is what happens when you let AI read the product brochure for you...
Not AI. I call the supercharged model Ess-Vee-Ho as well.
the electrically actuated door that disappears into the wet bar is such a cool feature!
It's one of those features that set Grady-Whites apart. At least on a 40-foot boat.
The helm station looks so sleek and modern! I love the blacked-out design with the carbon fiber panels
It has a very nice tactile quality too. It feels very much like the premium boat that it is. Not just pretty, controls are all ideally placed with unhindered views of the surrounding water, too.
Very lovely
We’ve had our Grady-White for less than a year and we’re totally loving it! 🌊🚤 It’s perfect for exploring shallow backwaters and heading out into the open ocean. Always feels super safe and has awesome features. Highly recommend! 👍 #BoatingLife #GradyWhite
There's a strong and loyal community of GW owners for reason. Some of the better after-purchase service brands, too.
Wow, the Grady-White Freedom 415 looks amazing! I love how spacious and well-equipped it is. Definitely on my wish list for my next boat upgrade!
I only wish I got to take it out for a spin for the video.
I've had my eye on the 415 for a while now. Thanks for the video.
Can anyone share their experience with the fuel efficiency on this model? Considering it for long trips and want to make sure it's as good as it looks. Great video by the way

Nice comparison! well done!
Thanks man. You're doing things quite OKAY too! Cheers.
Very good comparison, you could also talk about the very good French brand, pwr foil, original efoil with battery positioning under the board.
Hi Sandra, Yes, we know PWR foils and wanted to test it, but we haven't tested it yet. We'll follow up with PWR and hopefully, we can add them in a future update.
Thanks for the great video. Which board is most suitable to ride waves with?
Thanks. It's not so much the board, but the prop rather. Folding props that can go Fliteboard and Lift systems allow the rider to release the throttle and reduce drag to fly on wave power alone. So, it's about what "build" you get or what extra accessories you have more than the board itself. The idea being that you use power to get into the wave. There are some attachable jets, foildrives, for regular foil boards, but there's more drag on those.
Thanks for the walkthrough!
Glad to be of service.
Nice comparison. I've been looking at the AUDI and I'm quite sure you just sold that idea to me. Thank you!
Always glad to help make someone's decision easier when it's also a good one. It's a great system. Enjoy!
Look @other reviews before you buy Audi board
Nice video. Might be time to upgrade the old SeaDoo
There are some pretty enticing aspects to the new models. The supercharged and fish-kitted-up Explorer Pro is only just behind the Trophy because of the latter's power and touring capacity... decisions, decisions...
@@DIVEindotcom-boating Thanks.
Crazy how nice they package these boards.
They're definitely taking pride in their brand. That's clear from the packaging.
How loud is it when riding? I live on a lake with neighbors who are not too excited by powered craft. I keep hearing how quiet the LIft boards are, is this true?
It's electric, so you don't have a noisy engine or anything annoying neighbors. There's a slight "whistling" sound when you're riding it, but that's only you that will hear this.
BRP made that boat look cheap and those engines are a joke who brings back out a two stroke that nobody wants anymore then put them almost under water and have to have a bilge pump to pump out possible water that might get in the engine. Stupid i see this thing going the way of the dodo bird
If you look at the schematics of the Rotax S, you'll see it's very secured from water. There's a built-in pump to expel any built-up condensation. There's a 5-year or 500 hour service recommendation, which is pretty convincing. That sealed motor casing also creates some buoyancy affect. This is not a standard two-stroke Mr. Kenney and it's been on the water for a couple of years now WITHOUT extinction-level signs of failure. I think it's quite innovative and interesting. So far it's also proven reliable with a market for all the advantages that it brings with it, especially the Max Deck on the Manitou and Alumacraft Trophy.
That’s no scout. That was a Trophy.
Footage of the Trophy got in as a reference to Sea Doo's FishPro line, of which the Scout is one of three models. There's a $3-grand difference in price that's made by the swivel seat and the standard livewell on the Trophy.
You call those water-crafts "Hoes"? Why, are they no good? If they have a range of 100 miles, does that mean I can ride it to Cuba and back on one tank of regular gasoline? What happens if I pick up a passenger while I'm there in Cuba. Will I make it back to Key West on that same tank of fuel? I need the correct answers to these questions. One more question...if I'm in the ocean, riding to Cuba, how much protection from sharks is there while riding one of these things. I mean, could a shark grab me off the seat while I'm riding it?

You can only ride one at a time:)
I'm impressed by the dual fuel fills I’ve had plenty of issues with a fuel dock.
Definitely! The dual fuel fills add convenience and flexibility when refueling, making the boating experience even more enjoyable. It's all about the little details!
I've owned a Grady White in the past, and I can vouch for their quality and durability. This Freedom 415 looks like another winner from Grady White!
It's great to hear from a Grady White owner! Thanks for sharing!
I'm not sure about the design of those sliding doors on the consoles. Wouldn't they be prone to jamming or breaking?
hat's a valid concern, but I don't think it'll be an issue on a quality boat like this.
Wow, this boat looks amazing! I love all the features, especially the wet bar and the spacious bow area. Can't wait to see more videos of it in action!
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed the walkthrough. The wet bar and bow area are definitely highlights of the Grady White Freedom 415. Stay tuned for more videos showcasing its performance on the water!
Do you need a boat licence in Sydney
I don't knwo. Ask some of the local dealsers, they will know for sure.
how fast can you go
The Flite Air can go to speeds around 50 km/h. That said, you'll have plenty of fun riding slower than this!
@@DIVEindotcom-boating dont i need a boat licence for this... in sydney
Thanks for your wonderful video. You gave me the confidence on what board to buy for beginners and one we can have our lake cabin guests learn on.
Glad it was helpful!
Why is Flite cannibalizing the Marc Newson boards?
These bords are in the opposite price range. The new AIR boards are budget "friendly" boards, and the Marc Newson are high-end.
Why does he keep on saying on the hook?
@xa8047 Cause the SkyHook is off the hook awesome:)
Amazing. The price is still a little too steep. Love the product, price really not holding me back its not being near water that is the issue for me.
Well, it's not a small amount, but this price and quality are great compared to many of the other boards on the market.
@@DIVEindotcom-boating i would totally have one already if i lived near a body of water. I am really into electric longboards. I have two evolve longboards. I feel like if i had a chance to try foiling i would pick it up quickly. Amazing product.
