    Hi I tried this with exact cup measurements. 2/3 cup I measured as 157 ml butter.But I was not able to make the big rectangle and do the cookie cutter shapes.The dough crumbled .I had to cling wrap as a rectangle bar and place them in fridge.After 30 min, I took them out,cut into small squares.What could have gone wrong with the shaping? Can you let me know? Taste was good though.

      Thanks for your attempt, and the question! From your explanation, it looks like you made the dough in correct consistency. The dough will crumble, but while making it as a layer, you need to gently tap, bring together and form the layer. Then it will be easier to use any shape cutter to make shapes likes shown.
