strength vs dex build
There are so many great fights in this manga. I really loved this one in particular just because Guts and Serpico team up against two powerful monsters. I really hope one day Berserk gets the animation adaptation it deserves. I know adapting the level of detail the manga has into an anime would be difficult but it doesn't even have to perfectly replicate it. Just be true to the source and have good animation.
Kentaro was such a god like mangaka. The greatest we very well may ever see.

Something I love about this fight and this series’ fights in general is the realistic reactions from Guts and other characters. Serpico was probably gonna monologue about challenging Guts to combat, and Guts had none of it! Such a breath of fresh air.
Man, I want to talk about when serpico had moved to pass guts when his sword was broken. If the difference in their reaction speeds and general agility had been that great that serpico could dodge the crossbow at such close range, then move towards and across guts while fishing out a bomb out of guts' pockets, lighting it, then finally throwing it and moving out of the way, all the while guts could do nothing but use his sword and armor to shield himself at the last moment. If the difference in their reaction speeds and general agility was this great, I don't think guts would have been able to dodge the continuous sword thrusts before for more than 2 or 3 rounds however much experience he may have; realistically. Just saying. Excuse any grammatical mistakes as I am not very good in English. I love this series, just sometimes some things frustrate me. Like this one

He doesn't even have powers. Just pure strength, speed and everything else but superhuman. He doesn't have plot armor because Guts is depicted as a struggler who is trying to survive. If this wasn't impressive to you then look at him fight Ganishka

The 2 panels about the being like “how the fuck can one human be this strong without magic?” Is my favorite 2 panels in anything ever.
Since he lives in the line between the real and astral world I always thought he unawarely uses magic. He could get his strength and ability to wield the dragonslayer through magic but idk.
@@soulsplayingidiot yeah its true in a way but even before being branded he was absolutely superhuman. Guts fought Wyald like an equal, and as far as im aware that bastard was among the stronger aposteles. Maybe not the strongest but still strong enough to kill a small army.
