I deciated this song to my first puppy love... We both have the same birthday May the 4th but he was born in 1969 and I was born in 1968. Ricky Stone passed away while got choked to death while eating " Pal's" in french fries and All of his hearing friends thought he was putting on but no one came to his rescued was put on The Life Support and When his parents found out he had no brain activity they had to signed a paper on took him off The Life Support on June the 19th, 1981... He also have a twin sister name Vicky Stone who is still alive... I do recalled call his parents's house number every single day and knew deep inside my heart and my soul - Something was not right I felt a cold shudder went up to my spine I went to a very small church and prayed whatever I was feeling at the time. ( I was long way from home in Tri- Cities Bible Camp at the time) When I got home from Bible Camp... I was sitting on my Nanny's porch then she gather up her strength I'm sure she did - Just a feeling I picked up from her on 1724 Buckles Drive. in Long Island ( not New York) Here in a small town beside The Eastman... My Nanny finally came out and told me your 1st love just passed away and I'm like "What do you mean??? Ricky Stone was only 12 yrs.old and I was only 13 years.old at the time... My Nanny told me once again Ricky had died on a Friday and I just came home from Bible Camp the next day.... I broke down and realized that's the reason "Why" no one did not picked up the phone all week and I knew something was up but could not pinpoint what that feeling was and Why I went to church and prayed my heart and soul out... I was confused and numb at the same time more like "Dazed and Confused" and My Nanny could not see me in such a bad shape crying non - stop.... The next thing I remembered my mom and dad pulling up on the side and I thought to myself she called them and I thought Oh! No!!! HERE I GO BACK TO HELL WITH THEM TWO ALL OVER AGAIN!!! ALL THE BEATINGS, VERBALLY ABUSED, PHYSICAL ABUSE, EMOTIONALLY ABUSE, ETEC... I WAS FORCED TO GO HOME WITH MY SO CALLED PARENTS AGAIN... I COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE ALL OVER AGAIN!!! I THOUGHT TO MYSELF "WHAT IS ONE MORE??? HUH??? AT LEAST I GOT A RIDE BY THEM TWO AND DROVE ME ALL THE WAY TO OAK HILL AND WHEN IT WAS MY TURN TO VIEWED HIM.... HE DID NOT LOOK DEAD TO ME LOOK LIKE HE WAS SLEEPING AND I LAID ONE SINGLE FLOWER AND IT WAS HIS FAVORITE YELLOW FLOWER ON HIS CHEST AND KISSED HIM GOODBYE ON THE FOREHEAD AND BROKE DOWN CRYING HIS MOM PICKED ME UP AND I HAD TO SIT WITH HER WHILE HIS TWIN SISTER VICKY AND OLDEST BROTHER JIMMY "STONEY" WERE TALKING OUT BACK TO THEIR FRIENDS... EVERYBODY THOUGHT I WAS "VICKY" HIS TWIN'S SISTER AND THEIR MOM TOLD THEM THIS IS TAMMY AND SHE IS DEAF AND MY SON RICKY AND HER WERE SO IN LOVE TOGETHER... THEIR 1ST PUPPY LOVE WHILE THEIR FATHER HAD TO HOLD ME DOWN AND COMFORTED ME JIM DID... JAMES STONE... THEIR MOTHER'S NAME WAS BRENDA FROST STONE " THE AVON LADY"... I'M NOW 56 YRS.OLD TODAY AND RICKY WOULD HAVE BEEN 55YRS.OLD TODAY ALSO. I STILL REMEMBERED EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM AND HIS SMELL... THERE'S ANOTHER SONG BY CHICAGO " YOU'RE MY INSPIRATION" I STILL DO THINK OF HIM TO THIS FORWARD DAY... I HAD BREASTS CANCER HAD TO REMOVED THEM LAST YEAR. DOCTOR SAID I WAS "CANCER -FREE" AND I THOUGHT TO MYSELF SHE IS WRONG AGAIN BC I JUST HAD 25 RADIATION TREATMENT AGAIN AND NOW MY LIVER IS GIVING OUT FAST I AM ON THE PILL BUT HAVE YOU EVER SMELL THE ROSES AROUND THE CORNER??? IF SO, YOU KNOW YOURSELF YOU ARE GRADUALLY DYING SLOWLY... WELL, I HAVE ALREADY ACCEPTED DEATH A HORRIBLE DEATH THREE FRIENDS OF MINE WHO HAD AIDS BACK IN THE MID - 80'S DID I COMFORTED THEM WITH A GLOVES ON OR A MASK ON ??? NO I DIDN'T AT ALL... THE END AS FOR NOW.
