Hi Karen, glad to see you’re progressing well with the house. I’ve followed you for a few years but rarely comment. One of the things I like most about your videos is the changing and opposite seasons to mine here in the UK. I hope you’re surviving through the winter in NZ. We’re coming to the end of summer here (such as it has been 🙂) going into Autumn here and Spring for you. I find watching the opposite seasons in NZ rather soothing and relaxing knowing that a changing season is never far away. Thank you

You have my sympathy with a generator which does not want to start easily. So much for the "smart choke". My generator has manual choke and also has battery start. I am fortunate that my generator so far starts in a couple of seconds, then I turn off the choke. I hope you are able to figure out a repeatable process for getting the generator started. As you stated, the engine was eventually flooded. If this happens, it is faster to remove the spark plug and dry it out.

Is plywood cheaper than plasterboard, here in france the walls and ceiling are generally plasterboard. After jointing a coat of paint.

Rock on Karen, when we built our home,we had plenty of little dramas, builders sick,materials not turning up tradies arguing with each other, & unfortunately theft from the building sites. We got it done everything has a start & a finish.🙏🧡
