Is it possible to monoprint a laser printed foto with this gel plate?

Whoa, was not expecting this level of production quality for a YT video for an art supply company lol. Speedball was the first brand of dip pen holder and nib I ever used; the first nib I ever used was a Speedball Hunt 512EF bowl-shaped nib, which I used with a black and gold marbled Speedball dip pen holder and Speedball black acrylic calligraphy ink, which introduced me to the world of dip pens and dip pen ink. So happy to know there are still American manufacturers of dip pen nibs, dip pen holders, and dip pen inks in 2024 ❤

I have a question. I’m planning on using this ink to print a tshirt that has a design both on the front and the back. How long would you recommend i wait for the ink to dry on one side before printing the other side??

I recently bought the kit and my emulsion is teal? So i purchased more sensitizer and it still didn’t match “grass green.” With those results, I bought a brand new batch of both sensitized and emulsion…. This time the sensitizer was clumpy and wouldn’t mix (note: I used an electric mixer after this happened and screen still had spots of sensitizer and was nowhere close to “grass green”) Does the sensitizer expire? Do i even continue at this point?

How long do you recommend leaving the screen under a 50 watt light?

Where can I buy an overhead stand for this? It seems crazy that they sell the light with the bracket but not a stand.

Hello, Had a quick question. I have printed on a few shirts over the past couple years but I just had a problem with the ink coming out messy on the shirt. Can the ink go bad? at least 3 years old since I opened it. Love your video. thanks , hope you can help.

How many times Can a screen go through this before it’s no good?

Hi I am trying to use the speedball photo emulsion kit but struggling with results. After exposing the screen it takes a very long time to wash away the stencil, eventually other parts of the screen are washing away whilst parts of the stencil are still not washing away. Very confused by what this means I am doing wrong? Tried another screen applying more photo emulsion but it dried gloopy, tried another screen with less photo emulsion and yielded same results. Using a Caydo 50W LED UV Screen Printing Light for 8-12 minutes positioned at the same distance from the frame as the width of the frame. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

So disappointed with this kit and I cannot get a response from Speedball or Pigskins & Pigtails about it. Makes me think twice about using these products and I was so excited to. Luckily there are other options. 😢

Thanks for excellent calligraph instructions. I have copperplates and type from my great grandfather’s 19th century print shop. Plan to bring the 19th century into my artwork.

How long to burn with 50 watt black light

With my iron, heat set properly, it takes 30 sec. to transfer a perfect laser printer image! It is amazingly fast! It use wool setting on my iron.

MY problem is making sure the ink doesn't dry while doing all this and that it doesn't spill over when I lift the screen

What are the advantages of the Speedball and/or Akua Intaglio Inks vs. acrylic paints on the Gelliplate?
