Not Just Sunday (December 1981 KDKA)

Not Just Sunday was a long running religious oriented show on KDKA, hosted by George Eisenhauer. Eisenhauer was better known for being KDKA's announcer and for doing many voice overs and commercials throughout the region. Very little of his on-air work survives. This show features his daughter, Cindy Baltzer, and her students from Grandview Elementary in Derry, Pa. Note: The slate says 1980, bu...

Being an old guy now, it occurs to me that every major world event in my teenage and early 20s I heard about from Walter Cronkite.
One thing for sure there will be nobody that can fill victors shoes,he was one of a kind a comedian mixed with classical music,it didn't get any better than that.
It’s amazing how everyday folks today don’t speak like these folks in ‘71 … they were very well defined… unique characters…. It’s like watching a movie but this is real life! I like that fella being interviewed reclined happy in his pajamas in a chair with his wife and grateful to be home….
Excellent footage! Thank u
Burt before the temporary pornstache lol and he looks so young!! Mr. B :(.
The musicians seem to enjoy Victor's antics just as much as the audience.
RIP
Larson figured out the pattern and won fair and square. Simple as that. CBS just was mad they had to pay out and were dumb enough to not realize that the pattern was specific and was only one pattern that was not randomized. Anyone could’ve done what Larson did. He was just smart enough to do it before they changed it. He won fair and square.
Just like when Michael Larsen memorized the board patterns, we had to memorize what we learned in school for tests. Is that cheating also?
And now they're gonna make a movie out of this with Paul Walter Hauser portraying Larson.
Tiny was a time traveller...he came from a distant faraway place of nothing but love and beauty.
I love the Coppertone lotion commercial and these are fabulous various commercials!!
brings back great memories. thanks for including the commercials
I worked there from 1972 until it's closing...a scarfer is a tough job.
Eleanor Schano is so elegantly dressed she looks like a star. Great interview with one of the heavies in motion pictures and television. I enjoyed Karl Malden's interview so much that I will now read his book. He was the star of my favorite television show, "The Streets of San Francisco." and I've liked everything he's ever done. What a wonderful human being Karl Malden is and was.
Rocky "People are scared to get involved". Well it's come full circle to that again because if you stop a criminal from attacking someone in New York, you're the one getting arrested. It's all ass backwards and all the people who run it (into the ground) suck
I’m at Red in the mid 1980s. I guarantee you he’s 10 times funnier in a private setting. He was a great guy.
Had the privilege to see this concert in person! What a wonderful program and showcase of student talent in PA!
Gee, why didn't they continue with Inky the caveman? Lol
Thanks for posting this. As it did for all of us who were alive then, 9/11 incredibly stressed veteran journalist Peter Jennings. You can clearly hear it in his voice. Led him to resume smoking again.
Wow This l Did Not Expect , Its Wonderful. Thank You So Much ❤
Cincinnati TV star Ruth Lyons is responsible talking Steve into calling Eydie from her office at WLW Television asking if Eydie would marry him! Ruth told Steve that they could team up and sing together. And the rest is history. Ruth Lyons loved them both! 14:41
That was an OK kitchen in the South Bronx in those days. But, you probably had a fire escape.
The commercials!
I happen to be a huge fan of the Television Academy myself. This is awesome.
Ive just found loads of shows starring steve and eydie what a couple, eydie had some voice great entertainers.with marvin hamlish first class R.I.P guys .gerry in scotland .UK
Great looking at these old Promo's!
And i do love the Poc Fair song!
7:35 I don't know why, but I loved it whenever Hambone came on.
Originally seen in 1966.
❤ thank you so much! These are truly amazing artists. Such great talent that never stops entertaining. First class performers.
Did anyone notice the “husband” in the Lilt commercial? Bill Watson, Frank Smith’s sidekick!!??
Very few understand what this show did. My dad was destroyed by World War Two, PTSD, before it was invented. I was 5 years old and watched original shows, which changed my life. The humor just set me on fire. Beatles did the same, 1963, JFK assasination. Sidenote, met Alice when she was doing a book signing in Chicago in the 1980s. Wonderful person. Saw Jackie working in Chicago in 1986; nothing in Common; he was very sick but a joy to have seen in person.
Oh my god, I never saw this, this is a super 1970 WCBS Late Show Opening gem!!!!!
I had never seen this before. It was great!
When I was a kid in the studio audience with my mother, John Wade was so nice to me.
If i recall correctly, a portion of fhe show was dedicated to slowly panning a wall of all the hand drawn puctures that kids had sent in throughout the week. We went ballistic when my kid brother's pic was shown. I was about 8 or 9 at the time. Im now 48.
OMG Jackie Zeman as a blonde, too. I had no idea it was her until I heard her more and saw her up close. 😮
I never knew she was blonde either!!
Amo Victor Borge ❤❤❤
I got to see him in person around this same time. Never laughed so hard in my life. So funny and clean.
Roland was combative, hostile, and comtemptous of Ms Brown, The viewing public was so outraged by his caustic and badgering attitude towards her, and rightly so, that he was forced to apologize, on-air, to her. I remember it well.
Thanks for posting.
An amalgamation of genius....
Didnt this episode originally air on June 8-11? Since Peter said May 19th was the episode taping date
Such genius!!
Look at Scotty!! He’s so young!
RIP Steve Lawrence.
This is the first video I have seen of Gene Ammons. My first records of his were Brother Jug and Boss Is Back, which were both from around the time of this video. I don't like the varitone much...but it's still wonderful to see this band performing. Thank you very much for uploading 🙏
Always brings me tears.
I adore this actor. Great humility for a legendary icon. The best. I miss him.
I just read the book. Fantastic!!!
