Disturbing that those in charge would claim that areas next door, have separate databases that you don't know how to access or include, and how bizarrely our region handles lack of one coordinated policing, redress from the public, and recording of facts. If you think this strange and conveniently confusing and inaccessible way of handling our safety doesn't impact out lives and our rights, you'd be wrong. Even years of trying to get any answers or coordination has shown me that no one wants any responsibility. They hand you off to someone who also claims to owe you nothing. If I live in st louis county and pay considerable taxes to that entity, why is any help obscured, and no attempt to help get anyone who is a accountable to assist? It's not legal or ethical to play three card Monty with the services and safety that we pay government employees to provide. When any behavior impunes any of their colleagues or friends, you can count on even more obscuring of services and laws.

The concern is about fire safety. It seems as if keeping business in st louis county is being chosen over the safety of families at sports events and other activities. Does the public get to know about these decisions? Safety should be prioritized when deciding building codes, dont you think?

Getting it right would mean hiring people that ACTUALLY do the job.

I took out an home improvement loan to bring everything up to current codes and my property tax nearly Trippled! Where’s the incentive to do the right thing? Paying back the loan and interest is hard enuff, and now this extra payment on top of it is more of a deterrent! Disabled on a small fixed income leaves less food on the table and make just a hair too much money for hardship benefits like snap, etc. Sinking and now drowning in debt and should’ve left well enuff alone!

I'm not a big complainer ...but...that road being closed for all this time is ridiculous...I believe the pyramids were built quicker than this project..They love closing this road for some reason...been traveling it daily for 30+ years. In the past I understand closing it when it's flooded...but taking days after the water receded to open it back up and closing it when it did not flood as they anticipated...that's crap! It cost me more time and money in fuel to get to work and home. I figured with the planned extension of Hwy141 that they had changed their mind on the repairs. Another observation I have made over the years.. is that the flooding became much worse after the construction and completion of The Mills Mall ...The giant parking lot and mammoth building acted as a giant rain water collector and funneled all the storm water to the creek that ran under that bridge...as if it didn't already have enough problems containing the natural amount of run off...that some poor planning as to the amount of planning that goes into a project of that size ..

I am also curious as to updates on the expected time of completion. The last article I read on the Internet indicated that, if the weather held up, it could be completed by Thanksgiving. If it is only halfway completed in October, what are the updated timelines? Thanks.

humorous that sam would use crime as a reason to prevent annexation, he himself is a big better together person and the 1st thing they did yrs ago was to weaken the pd and make them look less effective. I am sure Manchester's PD can and will be able to take on any needs of their community. County pd has always shared resource services with it's munis, and as i stated before the dispatch services were upgraded within the last 10 yrs before sam was in charge but he was a councilman so he should be aware of this versus trying to take credit for something else. As to the tax increases those indeed are up to the residents. what are county service times, what are manchester service times, often this matters most.
