    On my turnbuckles I use a wing nut to keep the turnbuckle from loosening up. I've had one disassemble itself on a 300+ miles trip. Luckily I had straps to the forks too.

    Straps (with ratchets) should go on the handlebars or forks, not over the seat .

    I would use a welder to secure that, but the bolts make more sense if you wanna be able to take those off.

    I bought the LensCoat standard in 2015. I bought it to basically protect my Nikon at beach with my family for beach week. Last week I brought it to the beach and the inside of the thing is completely falling apart. The inside adhesive holding the sealing tape is just crumbling and my gear was covered with white flakes in every nook and cranny. It's really disappointing that an American company sells this piece of crap.

      That’s no good, do you think it’s dry rotting? Hopefully I have better luck with mine!

    • @nopriors
      @nopriors Před 11 měsíci

      Looking at the product it looks fine. But when you look inside there is a white tape that I am guessing seals the seams. The tape is peeling away and there is a crusting white substance that is flaking off. This thing really has seen very little use and has always been cleaned after use and put in the safe that holds all my gear. It just really makes mess.@@chaseqchapman

      So I sent them what I wanted, the emailed me within 2 days with a rough draft for me to confirm and I think they shipped 1-2 days after that. Took 3-5 days to get here. So under 2 weeks from submitting design to arrival.

    FYI, you dont want all the weight on the front. I know you didn't put the weight on the front but you wanted to. What you want if possible is 10% on the tongue and the rest over the axle. Just watch videos on how to load a trailer.

    I am a fan of the turn buckles. A couple of small suggestions; Install jam nuts on the normal threaded end of the turnbuckle to keep them from coming loose on long trips and put nylock nuts on as a double nut on all of the nuts under the trailer, I know you have the lock washer, but why leave anything to chance.

    This is what I’ve planned on for my bikes except a strap as well over the front and rear tire. I have a bumper mount for my bike and use a turnbuckle to tighten it to the bumper along with the hitch so it doesn’t move when driving. Good job bud looks good.

    Looks 35MM is superb as compared to 50Mm 1.8. I don't know which one will be better in my R7 body. Request your advise :-)

    • @chaseqchapman
      @chaseqchapman Před rokem

      They are both great lenses. Depends on what you are going to be using it for. The 35mm will be equivalent to a 50mm and the 50mm will be equivalent to a 75mm since you have an aps-c sensor. If it’s your only lens, I would probably go with the 35. It’s a little more versatile and is a macro lens. But that’s just my opinion.

    • @headbang3r519
      @headbang3r519 Před rokem

      I would go with the 35 since you have a crop sensor. It will give you a cropped 1.6X focal length so that would be 56mm which is close to 50mm full frame whereas the 50mm 1.8 will give you 80mm (cropped x 1.6). So, you have to ask yourself if whether you like a focal length of 56 mm (close to 50) or the latter. 50mm in general is mainly the kind of focal length which makes subejcts look the same size as they do in real life.

    • @Convexityofwater
      @Convexityofwater Před rokem

      35 all the way. On the R7 it is basically a stabilized 50. The 50 is to narrow for any general purpose.
