Went on a trip to the Olympic Peninsula in the state of Washington. Took a steelhead charter unfortunately only two fish were caught, but what a treat they were. Incredible figure eight action in this video. Saw action from 17 fish total in the day. Lost 4 fish and caught 7! follows from 6 others most of which aren't in the video. Fish were flying around all day smashing bait.

Took a trip up to Catawba Island in northwestern ohio. Fished West harbor all morning and then east harbor in the evening. Probably 50-60 fish were caught today most being between 2-3lbs. This is super early Ohio Muskie Fishing fishing. Water temps were 36-37 degrees but the fish were very active! We managed to catch four muskies and actually lost 3 others. Catching Mid January Bass and Perch In Ohio

Today we set out in search of more small perch as this is just about the only fishing available this time of year when its too cold for the boat but not cold enough for the ice gear. We stumbled on some nice small bass and some bonus micro crappies. Also had the pleasant surprise of a perch with a smallmouth bass in its mouth.

Today we embarked on a journey to a private lake in northern ohio to chase after some northern pike. We had found our lake to be drained 5-6ft which we had forgot about because we're normally on the hard water. We just happened to stumble on some small perch in a shallow marina bay. We then tied on our smallest jerk baits and crushed them.

How do you like the max toro reels? How well do they handle big rubber?
matt merriman handle rubbers really well, it has 25lb of drag. I throw bulldawgs, mid medussa and poseidons on it with no problems
